A/N Hi-hi! I just wanna say that I was gonna finish this one by March! I made sure to make it very long too! I have big announcements at the end so watch out!

Simon's POV

I saw a small chipmunk kneeling into her locker from a distance. Her pencils, chapstick tube and glue stick began to roll right out of the pastel green locker. I would help her if she wasn't already practically done.

A strange sort of squeal after a choke of breath was released.

Hmm... Hiccups.

I heard her curse under stifled breath. Nothing major really, she simply said 'darn'.

I ran next to the opposite side of her locker's door. She couldn't see me, It wouldn't be a good scare if she did. I wasn't scaring her for any bad reason. It was only the easiest way to stop hiccups.

She closed her locker and slammed it softly, may I add. "Boo!" She actually screamed and threw her books. I grabbed multiple of the heavy textbooks. When I had finally gotten back up and recovered the many books she had managed to carry I turned to her.

"Oh, Simon! Why would you do that?" She frowned, looking quite distressed. I felt a pang of guilt in my chest while scratching the back of my head with a nervous look.

"M-My apologies! I simply wanted to scare the hiccups out of you." I expounded in a bit of a nervous tone. And just off we went walking towards... Wherever she was going.

"Hey shouldn't you be heading to class?" She turned her head towards me and gave me a questioning look.

I groaned and shook my head in affliction. "I wish!" Wisps of brown hair began to fall out of her incredibly messy bun.

I handed her my new schedule, they had changed it due to my grades. They must have really been sick of it! I'd do the same if I saw a student's grades so different.

"This is so cool Simon!" Her eyes brightened from her impression. I retrieved the paper from her hands.

"How is this 'cool'? I can't go to class anymore!" My arms fell to my sides and I sighed in defeat.

"You have three free periods!" She grabbed my arm excitedly and giggled.

If I weren't so upset I'd pay more attention to her adorable bounce.

"Oh, don't remind me!" I cover my ears in misery.

"Simon! Anyone could consider this highly impressive!" She continued, her soft voice sounding like a smooth murmur through my muffled ears. "Especially since we just started our sophomore year."

"I know, but I... I still want to get to class." I uncovered my ears.

It was only a moment that I had noticed that I had made her smile. I know it was something small. Something no one would care about. Something Alvin would pretend he'd done to get a good grade. (There is proof of that too). But to me it felt like so much. Seeing her happy even for a second, simply made my heart skip a beat.

"What's wrong?" I can't help but ask.

"I-uh nothing important." She gave me a fake smile for comfort. Yeah like hell that's gonna fool me.

"Just tell me, I'm your best friend. It's clearly bothering you a lot."

"Well... I guess there is something." She hugged the books to her chest while walking a little slower. She fidgeted with her fingers.

"It's- it's about dreams. Well more like nightmares." She corrected herself then slid her brown hair by tucking it behind her ear.

She hadn't answered so I had spoken up. "Not to be intrusive or anything but what about?"
