~Laura's P.O.V~
It's been about a month since I've last heard of Caroline's hate. She stopped after a week and drama was slowly subsiding since then. Now there are barely any.
I've caught a flu just yesterday and I can barely move. Vanessa helped me to get my way out of my room but as I reached the living room, I vomited. My bronchial tubes are also constricted making it hard for me to breathe and I cough with slimy, thick, greenish yellow phlegm. So, obviously I skipped school today.
I planned to do this marathon on prom night but it was on the movie channel so I had to.
"Ugh, you suck Paolo!" I yelled croakily at the television. How could he even dare use such a sweet girl like Lizzie?
Ahem, ahem. Does that ring a bell? Definitely.
I wanted to sing along, but that'll worsen my condition. I coughed out heartily again together with phlegm but Vanessa washed my bowl so I had no choice but to swallow it. Disgusting.
It's been my dream to perform just like Lizzie. You know, the unexpected kind of thing. I'm not a star so I'm hoping something like that happens to me. If only somebody who goes on tour lets me.
Why am I still mad at him? It's like everything I think of leads to my anger towards him. We're still friends, I can bare being close to him, but I know that I'm mad at him and that's that.
The movie ended and I started flipping through the other channels.
"McKenzie was having the best summer. . ."
That one caught my eyes, the summer ambiance of it. Until I saw a familiar face. . .
"Ugh, you?"
Okay, here's the thing; I can bare see him personally, only with a few fuming but I'm pissed to see him on freaking television?
In a few seconds of-- obviously this the trailer of his and Maia's new movie-- just watching my anger subsided.
"His hair, though." Someone comments behind me.
I managed to nod involuntarily. "Mhm." I agreed.
Wait, what?
Suddenly, I fell of the couch, as I was smacked on the head.
"Ha! Caught ya! You little mutt in love." Vanessa hollers, taking the couch to herself.
"Argh, you made my headache worse!" I complained, getting up. But it's hard for me to get up, I felt nauseous.
"Here's your bowl." She threw me my big bowl. "You can stop holding in, you might end up throwing up on yhe carpet and there's no way I'll clean your mess, missy."
I rolled my eyes at her, finally taking a seat, hugging the big bowl. "What's up with all the sass?"
"Just wanna get on your nerves. It looks fun."
What a response.
She started changing the channels when she stumbled upon Nick Jr.
"Why?" I ask with a laugh.
"Wonderpets."
As if on cue, and what a coincidental event this is, our phone rang as they sang their song when an animal is trouble.
"See, the show's accurate." She points out. "Gotta get that."
"LAURA!" Vanessa yelled on the top of her lungs. "Phone for you!"
"Hand it to me!" I coughed out. "Can't walk!"
"Okay!"
A few moments later, she appears beside me, handing the phone.
