"W-What Are You Doing Here?"

                                    

                                          
We were back in sway and everyone was sitting in the living room together laughing at videos we took on our trip. We had just ordered food and there was a knock on the door. I got up to get it because I was the one to order the food. I opened the door and it wasn't our postmates it was my dad. 
"W-what are you doing here?" I asked him with my voice shaking. I hadn't heard from him or my mom since I moved here and I was really enjoying my life without them. 
"I came here to see you, I missed you" He tried to pull me into a hug, but I pulled away. 
"How do you know I was here?" I finally had the courage to talk back to him. I'm tired of the way he treated me now that the boys taught me how people are supposed to treat their families. 
"It wasn't hard to track your phone. You're not as smart as you think you are Austin" He started walking towards me again and I kept stepping back hoping one of the boys would notice I had been gone for so long. Dad kept walking towards me until I was against a wall. I couldn't go anywhere. After all this time of being away, he finally gets to hit me again. I know that is the only reason he said he missed me. He didn't miss me he missed abusing me, my mom would never let him touch her so he didn't have his punching bag anymore when I left. Dad raised his hand and started beating me. 
"Please stop, you're hurting me," I screamed as I tried to kick him off of me. 
"You know what happens if you try to fight back little girl." I continued to try to kick him off of me and scream at him to stop. 
"Stop hurting me" 
"Why do you do this to me?"
"If you didn't want me at home why did you come to find me?" 
                          
Jadens POV: 
                          
"Please stop, you're hurting me,"
"Stop hurting me"
"Why do you do this to me?"
"If you didn't want me at home why did you come to find me?"
I woke up to Austin slashing around and kicking her legs in her sleep. She kept screaming pleads for someone to stop hurting her. I started shaking her shoulder to try and wake her up but nothing was working. 
"Austin, bubs wake up" She had tears running down her face, and she was sweating from all the moving she's been doing. I kept shaking her shoulders until she finally woke up and looked at me and just pulled me into a hug. She was crying so hard her shoulders were shaking. 
"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked her and she nodded yes. I have a small idea of what the dream was about but I hope to god that I'm wrong. 
"I- I had a dream where we were back home at sway and I had ordered postmates a bit ago so when someone knocked on the door I went to get it because I thought it would be the food. But when I opened the door it was my dad. He kept saying how much he missed me, but then he started coming into the house so I was walking back into the living room hoping you guys were still there but when he and I made it to the living room you guys were gone then he cornered me against a wall and started beating me." She told me everything about this horrible dream as her breathing started to go back to normal. 
"Austin, I'm so sorry. Is there anything you want me to do?" I whispered as I played with her hair in hopes of trying to get her to calm down more, she was still shaking. 
"Just hold me. I feel safest in your arms" She curled herself into my arms and wrapped her arms around my waist as we laid back down. 
                          
Austin's POV: 
                          
"Just hold me. I feel safest in your arms" I wrapped my arms around Jaden's waist as we laid back down. We were almost asleep when there was a knock on the door. 
"Come in," Jaden said as we rubbed our eyes, we didn't think anyone else was awake anymore. But Tayler and Blake opened the door. 
"Hey man, everything okay? We heard crying from our room and wanted to make sure everyone was alright" Tayler said, he didn't know what happened between Bryce and me since he had been out for the past couple of days. He had friends that came here a couple of months ago and we're still here so he wanted to visit them. 
"Yeah, everything good. Austin just had a bit of a bad dream" Jaden said as he grabbed his phone to check the time. It was 3:34. 
"Why's Austin in here did something happen between her and Bryce?" He asked Jae as if I wasn't there or I was sleeping. I saw Jadens jaw clench and his fists balled up. 
"Yeah we got in a fight then he invited Addison here" I didn't want to add in the part where he made me flinch because I knew that it wouldn't go well with Tayler. He looks at me as if he has to protect me from everything and anything. 
"Austin why don't you tell him about the part where you thought he was going to hit you or the part where I don't know maybe the girl he invited here beat you and you now have bruises all over your body?" Kio snapped. He knew I left out key parts of the story because he and the rest of the boys were there and hear about the Bryce part. 
"Wait. What happened?" Tayler had finally turned on the lights and you could see a black eye had started to show up on my face and Tayler noticed. 
"Why didn't you tell me?" His face fell and I could tell that he felt bad, Bryce may be his best friend but he would do anything to keep me safe like the rest of the boys. 
"Because I didn't want you or Bryce to lose your best friend because of me Tayler" I knew Tayler would do or say something to Bryce if he found out so I wasn't going to tell him because Bryce needs him and he needs Bryce. 
"You got hurt because of him Austin. I don't care if I lose him, you're my best friend. I can't lose you. I need you not Byrce. You're the one who keeps me from doing stupid shit. He gets me into stupid shit" Tayler looked pissed right off and like he would hurt Bryce. Kio had already left because it was late and he already knew about everything that happened. 
"Well, you and Bryce also need each other. Have you ever wondered why the kid isn't in jail right now? It's because of you, you keep him out of more trouble than you two get into. You do stupid shit with him sometimes but that stupid shit has nothing on the stupid shit he'd do if he was always drunk or if he was getting into hard drugs. And I know what that shit does to someone it's not pretty. Bryce fucking needs you, if he doesn't need me he needs you. I don't care what you or he has to say about it because he needs you" I could barely get all of it out. After all, I was crying. Bryce may not need me but he needs his best friend. And that happens to be Tayler Holder. 
"Austin, he's hurt you so many times. You thought he was going to physically hurt you and he let his ex-girl hurt you. I couldn't have stopped him from that. I tried to more than once but it doesn't work with Bryce the only reason he wasn't in jail isn't me. It's because he knows he's better than this. But why do you still care about him?" I still care because he's my best friend. He's stuck with me through almost everything I've been through since I moved here. 
"Because Tayler he's my best friend and I can't throw that away as he can. He's been by my side through Josh cheating when I stopped eating and Vinnie the second time."I realized Bryce wasn't there through everything it was Jaden who was. Why couldn't I have seen that before?
"Wait. It wasn't Bryce there. It was Jaden the whole time. It wasn't Bryce who laid in bed with me when Vinnie tried to rape me the first time it was Jaden. It wasn't Bryce who laid with me after he left to make sure I was eating and taking care of myself it was Jaden. Jaden it's always been you there for me. Thank you, I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner." I couldn't believe I thought it was Bryce. Bryce was barely there for me. Jaden never left my side since the day I stepped in that car in Toronto. 
"No problem Bubs. Can we finish this tomorrow Tayler. Austin looks like she's about to fall asleep." Jaden said and then Tayler left the room and I started to fall asleep, then Jaden kissed the top of my head and whispered. 
"Have a good night. Sleep well Austin"
