Alexa's POV
                          
I walk into our apartment and see Adam and Miriam are sat at the table with a glass of wine each. "Where have you been today?" Miriam asks softly, damn does she actually care? This is weird. 
                          
"Just out, I went to Hammonds park after I left your work had coffee read my book nothing exciting" I half lied not wanting to tell them what actually happened, but they didn't even pay attention long enough to hear the answer before continuing whatever they were doing just letting out a "Hm ok"
                          
That's it that's the only response I get. I sigh and walk into my room immediately plugging my phone into the charger. I get undressed, and make sure to fold Lizzie's clothes up so I can return them. 
                          
I run the shower and get in to warm up as my fingers feel like ice still! I stay in for 15 minutes just letting the water run down me. After getting out I towel dry my hair really letting my curls come through. I'll sort them tomorrow I'm way to exhausted. 
                          
I look at my phone which has now turned on, there's 3 texts from Harry and a text from an unsaved number it must be Lizzie!
                          
Lizzie: Hey Alexa it's Lizzie🥰
Lizzie: And I meant what I said you're not a burden to ANYONE! You are welcome here any time! ♥️
                          
I smile at the messages in front of me, that's the most anyone has ever cared about me and honestly I don't know why Elizabeth does but I feel safe knowing she's there. I decide I'll reply in the morning as I feel my eyelids dropping. I roll over and go to sleep. 
                          
Lizzie's POV 
                          
"Well I think it's sweet, this is Lizzie we're talking about she would help anyone who was in need." I hear Scarletts voice as I walk into my apartment, I stand back to hear what's being said. 
                          
"Exactly this is Lizzie we're talking about and she sees the good in everyone and gets way too emotionally attached to people in need. Come on you saw the way she looked at the kid" Chris replied
                          
"I do think it's kind of strange though they met in a book store at the other side of town and suddenly she appears in distress near Lizzies home? What if she recognised her and just wanted to meet a celebrity?" Colin adds.  
                          
That mother fucker. How dare he sit and bad mouth Alexa, when he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. 
                          
"No I'm gonna trust Lizzie here, she's not stupid and honestly I think the kid was genuinely just lost you don't know her story you don't know her situation and I won't let you make Lizzie feel bad for helping her" Scarlett sticks up for me, getting a bit angry at the boys for what they're saying. 
                          
I walk in not able to hold my tongue anymore and they all turn around to see me. "Thanks Scar, I'm glad someone has a little bit of faith in me. She's right you don't know her situation; you don't know that her mom died when she was little and has been strung between shitty foster families ever since. The current ones brought her to LA and pretty much left her to fend for herself. So yes I helped her and will help her again if she needs it, or if she just needs someone to give a shit about her then I'll be here. If that's me getting attached then so be it but no one should feel like a burden for just existing!" I snap at him which is so unlike me but for some reason I just feel so protective over her. 
                          
"Hey I'm sorry, I trust your judgment if you're the only person she has there for her then she's pretty lucky because you're the best." Chris pulls me in for a hug and Colin apologises.
