"Yes dear? "The leader looked down at the apprentice sized kit. "Oh you're six moons aren't you? "

                          
"Yeah- But I wanted to wait an extra half moon. So me and my sister can be apprentices at the same time! "Her tail swayed gently.
                          
"She's a half a moon younger than you? "Brightstar sat down looking at her.
                          
"Yeah. So I wanna wait so we can be apprentices together! "Fallen kit mewed softly.
                          
"How about... I make you both apprentices? "She mewed softly.
                          
"Really? Yes please! Thank you! Oh, can Flinteyes be my mentor? "The kit plopped down looking up with a smile.
                          
"Really? Flinteyes? But he's rude to you mother and you. "
                          
"Not anymore! He's real nice. "She protested. Giving a small flick of her tail.
                          
"Hm. Sorry but he's still pretty young. He was a warrior a moon before you were born. I want him to be at least eighteen moons old. He's only sixteen moons right now. "
                          
"So he was ten moons old when I was born? "She mewed softly.
                          
"Yes he was a very fast learner. But I feel like he would be a bad mentor being so young. "
                          
"Ok... Maybe if I get a new mentor when he's eighteen moons old I can have him? "She purred slightly.
                          
"Hm... Alright. "Brightstar jumped onto tallrock and called down onto the cats. "May all cats old enough to run the moor gather for a clan meeting. "
                          
Fallen kit went to the nursery as fast as she could. "Come on Patchkit, mommy! We're being apprentices. "
                          
"But I'm not old enough? "Patchkit stood following her sister.
                          
"She say's you can be one. "Fallenkit purred sitting at the meeting.
                          
"Ok you two, sit still and listen. "Gingerorchid purred.
                          
"Fallenkit, Patchkit step forwards. "Brightstar mewed, but a few cats started to hiss.
                          
"She's not old enough! "
                          
"She is only five and a half moons old! "

                          
"It's alright. She will only be learning to hunt with her mentor. Until she's old enough to be an apprentice. "Brightstar mewed gently. "Fallenkit, your new name will be Fallenpaw until you receive your warrior name. Your mentor will be Goosetrail. "
                          
"What? But- I thought she would be mine. "Flinteyes mewed softly looking a bit sad.
                          
"She says you need to be eighteen moons old Flinteyes. "Fallenpaw whispered. "Sorry... I tried to get you to be my mentor. "
                          
"It's alright. "He hissed, she could tell that he was angry at the leader.
                          
"Hello Fallenpaw... "Goosetrail mewed softly giving a hesitate bop on her nose. "I wish I had Patchpaw... "He mumbled, so low that Fallenpaw could barely hear it. She scrunched back slightly, did they still not like her? It's been moons can't they just forget about her being a medicine cat's kit? It wasn't even her fault.
                          
"Patchkit, you're now Patchpaw. Vultureclaw will mentor you. "Brightstar mewed.
                          
"Hello Patchpaw! Pleasure to mentor you. "The tom purred bopping the kits nose.
                          
"Lucky... She got the deputy. "Fallenpaw mumbled, a bit jealous but happy for her sister.
                          
"Also our medicine cat's apprentice is now a full medicine cat. Welcome Snowblossum! "
