OMNISCIENT All the adults were gathered around and seated in the livingroom with Marleigh and Malaijia. A pin dropping to the floor could be heard because that's how quiet it was amongst everyone. No one dared said a word, and, besides, Michael called for this intervention so, he would be doing most of the talking. Marleigh was seated next to Malaijia while the adults sat next to their respective spouses with the exclusion of Connor. She sat in an accent chair adjacent to the loveseat from Divine and Quadir.
Clasping his hands together, Michael got down to business. "We all know why we are here today. I called for this intervention 'cause an altercation occured between our children," he said this while eyeing both Divine and Connor. "What Malaijia had done days ago was unacceptable and she knows it. She has hurt Marleigh's feelings in the process, which has caused for her to stay away the last couple days. I don't want either of my children to feel as though they are not loved nor wanted, especially when it comes to me. So Mala, I'm gonna ask you what made you say such mean words to your sister?"
Malaijia glanced around the room at all the adults, then at Marleigh and finally down at her lap. She took a moment to think if she should be honest or keep partial of the truth to herself to spare. But the way things were set up, she knew she had to come clean. She was already in deep trouble and on punishment.
"Truth is, I don't hate Marleigh. I was just upset and started to speak angrily 'cause she didn't want to have fun with me in the pool. That's why I pushed her. It's like everytime she comes over to stay when we're all here, she acts like she's too good to do anything...with me. I just feel she's just fillin' in 'cause Mykelti is gone. If he was here, I would be a lot more happier with him."
Divine heart strings were pulled hearing her daughter speaking on the absence of her twin brother. It was evident she has been dealing with his loss for quite some time. But for how long?
"How long have you been feeling this way, baby?" Divine asked her.
Marliegh shrugged. "I don't know. Since dad's documentary thingy. When he told the truth of what happened to Mykelti; I guess it made me angry at Marleigh. That's why I said what I said to her."
