AN: Heyy all, I know it's been absolutely forever. But like I've said before I am in my senior year of highschool and let me say the amount of work they are setting is on a whole other level. Nonetheless here is another chapter, thanks again for those who comment it's super fun and interesting reading your opinions and thoughts on the story.
Thank you again and stay safe! :)ooOOoo
Bright felt an eerie air of condescension, as Elijah's gaze shifted from his own.
With fingers clenched, he fought hard to convince himself that the boy was't gawking where he shouldn't.
Elijah's head snapped back to his own suddenly, the all too familiar overturn of his lips as infuriating as ever.
"He didn't really tell you what happened that day then?"
Bright felt the skin of his forehead crinkle slightly at the off-putting question, yet he hid it with a chuckle."Oh, you mean how you got all up in his space like some unwanted mosquitoe?
"For some unwanted mosquitoe he sure was welcoming."
"The fuck did you say?"
The boy leaned in, the digusting proximity was enough to make the hair on the back of Bright's neck stand in disgust.
"All I'm saying is,"
His lips parted to reveal a sinister grin.
"Vanilla had never tasted so delicious."
Before he could even think of picturing Cara's perturbed complexion as she pleaded for them to refrain from causing any trouble, he brought his clenched fist back, something akin to 'Semon' and 'cameras' reverbated in his ears, Gorinna's distinct grating tone piercing his eardrums.
He felt his presence before he saw him.
His mark always tingled at their proximity.
"Bright stop!" That melodious voice that kissed the shell of his ears soothingly, may have been enough to stop him.
Oh, the warmth he felt at the boy's desperate clasp of his arm, he almost felt penitent as he tried vigorously shrugging him off.
Or may have...if he hadn't been so livid in that very moment.
His fist swung across Elijah's face. The people in attendance were in turmoil, Bright wondered then when the cameras focus had shifted to the back of the room.
Elijah touched his cheek, where an ugly bruise had already begun to form from the hook.
Elijah lifted his head, contradictory to what he had surmised he didn't look upset nor mad not even annoyed. Instead the smirk on his face hadn't wavered, but grew in its wake, accompanied by aproarprius laughter that seemed to have painted onlookers with confusion.
"Bright!" He heard again, he shifted his gaze to the boy, almost cooing at his downcast complexion.
Yet he couldn't help the hardening of his expression as he recalled the taller boy's words."Start walking Metawin, we're leaving." The latter parted his lips to say soemthing but decided against it as he turned around and began his stalk.
"And where do you think you're going after ruining my party boys?" He heard Gorinna call out, feigning fury yet the clear amusement in her voice was almost palpable.
"Far, far away Gorinna. Oh and please don't shy away from removing Metawin and Vachirawit from you guestlist next time I can assure you, you won't be offending anyone!"
He snorted turning his head before following the boy.
"Bright!" The leach sang his name, in a vexingly calm tone.
Bright sighed loudly as Elijah promptly made his way to back to him, lowering his head so that the boy could hear him.
He spoke in a hushed voice, spitting his words out with utter complacency.
"I deserved that punch...after all, I wouldn't be too happy if some other dude had a go with my bitch either."
In his mind, he recalled every single anger management strategy he had learnt from those IED classes Dean had forced him to take, to not end up inflicting more damage than he could cover.
