" seriously man im telling you. You cant keep leaving the register every time someone makes you mad." Arthur walked into the back room where severus was standing.
                          
" yeah then we have to deal with it and honestly i dont want to." Frank rose his hands.
                          
Severus groaned and threw the rag he was using to wipe down the table with.
                          
" but they're annoying."
                          
" i know they are annoying but you get mad at everyone and if you keep doing this you'll barely count as a cashier." Arthur said and walked past him to the storage.
                          
" oh and Alecto is coming in today."
                          
" what? I thought his shifts were tomorrow?"
                          
" they were but arthur needs to go home early today so Alecto is covering his shift." Frank pat his shoulder.
                          
Severus looked over at arthur who just had a sympathetic smile on his face as he threw on his coat and took off his apron.
                          
" come on sev it wont be that bad." Arthur reassured.
                          
" you always say that but Alecto is even more off putting than me. He's always trying to get me to join this club, i dont even know what they do." 
                          
" oh i do, and don't." Frank yelled from the front.
                          
Arthur chuckled and smiled softly.
                          
" sorry Severus. But Molly is at home with Bill and charlie and on top of that she has percy on the way, she just needs me today. You'll manage." 
                          
Severus nodded and smiled back.
                          
" of course i will. Im just being melodramatic. Say hi to molly and the boys for me." Severus yelled as arthur walked away.
                          
" will do!" 
                          
Severus laughed and came to the front with frank, taking his place by the register and fixing a few things on the machine.
                          
He heard the bell jingle and looked up to greet the new customers.
                          
" good morning, welcome to the Leaky Cauldron, what can i get you today?" He said in his monotone work voice frank always had a problem with.
                          
He looked up from the register and it felt like his brain malfunctioned.
                          
James was here. James was, Here. At his work. At his job.
                          
" oh hey. I didn't know you were in today." James said brightly.
                          
Severus didn't know how to respond so instead he just decided to do what he did best. Walk away.
                          
He turned around and started to make his way to the back again when frank got to him first.
                          
" oh no you dont." Frank said and hooked his arm around his neck, pulling him back to his place.
                          
" stop running away!" Frank scolded.
                          
Severus exhaled loudly and pushed frank back to where he was making someones drink and faced james woefully. He didn't miss the frustrated huffs of annoyance frank gave him.
                          
" hi james. What can i get you?" 
                          
" what was that?"
                          
" nothing, dont worry about it. Your order?" Severus said quickly.
                          
James laughed and looked up at the menu above severus.
                          
" uh ill have a large iced americano." 
                          
Severus nodded and put the order in, ringing it up and james handing his card over.
