after gloria answered a few questions, the doctor left and claire walked back in. she stopped at the door to talk to the doctor. gloria took this moment to look at claire. she was wearing jeans and a sweater. her hair was messy, and she wasn't wearing any make-up, except a bit of mascara which was running down her cheek. her face was red, but she still managed to look acceptable. gloria smiled.
                          


                          


                          
"why are you smiling?", claire asked gloria after closing the door behind the doctor. gloria continued to look at claire and said: "I don't know, you just look so beautiful." claire was confused but still smiled back at gloria. 

                          


                          


                          
and that was when it hit claire. is there any chance that gloria heard what claire said to her? is there a chance that she still remembers what claire said? claire snapped back into reality when gloria asked if she was okay. "yeah, I was just thinking about something", claire answered. "it's late you should sleep, gloria", claire continued. gloria just nodded because she was really tired. claire sat beside glorias bed and waited for her to sleep. claire waited a few minutes before she whispered: "I'm not going to leave you. sleep well." and with that she kissed glorias forehead and gloria fully drifted to sleep.
