Goods pov

The exams are today. Great. Surprisingly, I studied a bit in the weekend so I'm kind of ready for them. Jef definitely isn't ready though. When he entered the school he was almost panicking and looking through his study books. I was leaning on my locker when he came by, almost dropping his books onto the floor.

"Rushing much?" I snapped at him as he bumped into me.

"Sorry, sorry Good!" he says rubbing my arm as a kind of apology. "I just hardly studied a-and there's hardly any time left and-"

"Geez, calm down a bit, why won't you?" I nudged off his hand.

"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! GOOD THAT'S AN EXAM WE'RE TALKING ABOUT AND I'M NOT READY AND IT'S TODAY AND I'LL PROBABLY FAIL AND OH MY GOOOSH" Jef was now going full panic mode now.

I thought of ways to calm him down, since words wouldn't do much right now. I wrapped my arm around his back and started rubbing circles, hoping it'll do something, which it did. His expression changed from absolute worry to a more calm worry.

"Jef, it'll be fine, you'll do fine. If anything I'll probably fail since I'm sh*t at maths, and you're better at me in it" I said trying to make him feel better, which I think I did. He looks at me with a small smile and embraces me into a hug.

"Jef.. There's people here.." I said seeing people staring at us, some of them laughing. He quickly let go, not wanting to catch anyone else's attention.

"Sorry.." Jef said in a small tone of voice. I roll my eyes at him. He says 'sorry' far too many times, it's quite sickening how apologitic he is.

"Well the test is after English, so you have time to look back at your notes and sh*t" I look back at him with annoyed expression. I hope he didn't actually think the exams were the first thing we were doing in the morning.

"Notes? NOTES. OH MY GOODNESS I FORGOT THEM AT HOME!" Jef started panicking again. There he goes again, stress made him forget the things he needed most right now.

"Calm down! You can look at my notes, just don't panic!" I say grabbing onto his arm.

He looks back at me with worried eyes, slowly calming himself down. I sure am acting like a good friend now, I deserve an award.

"Thanks so much Good.. I know I can count on you.." he says, wrapping an arm around me and taking deep breaths. I'm surprised on how much he trusts me, looking at my sh*tty personality and the fact that a lot of people here are scared of me. I guess that's just because he believes anyone can become 'better' or whatever and gives everyone a chance to prove themselves. Although, he does find me a lot more trustworthy than anyone else. I'm quite sure he likes me more than a friend, but not like a lover or anything, that's the last thing that he would think of me like.

The bell rang soon after, and the hallways were getting more and more crowded.

"We should go before the crowds get bigger.." Jef suggests. I gave a nod of agreement.

We walk side by side in the halls, still get a few weird looks from people, probably because I'm here. I feel something slightly touching my hand, before grabbing onto my hand and lightly rubbing it. I look up at Jef with my face slowly heating up, but he just looked straight ahead as if trying not to look weird or anything. I look away form him, feeling blush forming on my face as I try to calm down. He's just a close friend.. Nothing too serious. He just wanted to calm himself down by holding onto my hand, nothing strange, right?

We reach our English classroom and I feel him still holding onto my hand.

"Jef.." I quietly spoke.
