The figure ignored my question. "Young Shadow, you are what the galaxy needs. The Skywalker child was not strong enough to fulfill his role. He was... another disappointing investment. You, on the other hand, have potential."
I narrowed my eyes. What the heck was this...freak? "Who are you? Why do you want me?"
"My child, I am...all the Sith." The lightning had a longer flash and I saw the very being of evil before my eyes. Emperor Palpatine hung from a metal device with tubes pumping him full of fluids to keep this corpse alive. Disgusting.
"You're dead..." I muttered, almost breathless. "You died on the Death Star...you can't be here..."
"You cannot kill the spirit of a true Sith Lord!" The corpse cackled. "You are the last piece of the puzzle. With your help, the Final Order will rise and we will fix this broken galaxy once and for all!"
"I'll never join you! I never want to stoop as low as you!" I growled. "Tell me where Kylo is and send me home from this hell, now!"
The blank eyes narrowed. "You are a fool, girl. You do not want me as your enemy!"
He pointed his boney finger and the next strike of lightning came down out of the sky and struck me, sending a wave of pain like no tomorrow through my body-
I screamed and sat upright in bed with watery eyes. I looked around the room...right back where I was before I fell asleep out. I jumped as I felt a hand on me, but saw it was connected to a concerned Kylo. I relaxed, barely.
"Again?" Kylo asked, partially groggy still. "Summer, you've had a nightmare almost every day this week."
"You think I want this?" I snapped and got out of bed, putting a robe on to hide that constant chill of the Finalizer's air. I heard over to the large windows and sighed, staring out them into space.
Kylo was quick to join beside me, wrapping a gentle arm around my waist. "You know you're not annoying me. That's not what I meant. I'm just...concerned. Is it always the same one?"
"I kmow it wasn't and I'm sorry. I'm just stressed. Each time I see a little bit more," I sighed, leaning my head against his bare chest. "Tonight, I finally saw the puppeteer." I looked up at Kylo. "It's bad. There is an evil out there, haunting me. It's going to come after us."
Kylo didn't disagree. "The dark side of the Force has been shifting towards a stronger power. Something is coming, like a storm on the horizon. I don't know what though..."
"I saw..." I could hardly say it. "I saw Palpatine. I know it's a hard thing to understand but..I saw him. He wants us. He's not dead, his spirit is somehow still here."
Kylo was very concerned now, staring at me with soft eyes. I love how I can see this side of him. Me and me alone. To my surprise, he didn't judge, laugh, or deny it. "There is something I've been wanting to show you. I thought I could handle it myself but I think it's bad enough for the both of us to get involved."
I eyed him as a gentle scold. "You know I hate when you hide things from me. How am I supposed to help panic and fix the problems with you?"
"I was going to tell you," he insisted. "I was just waiting for the right time."
