The grass was warm and soothing from the afternoon sun, and I felt myself drifting into a peaceful rest as I laid there, sprawled out completely.
                          
The sunlight soaked into the black fabric of my clothing, making it feel like I was being wrapped in a welcomed hug. 
                          
I let out a soft sigh of relief, letting a small smile curl up on my lips. How could I focus on anything else on a day like today? It was just too perfect. 
                          
All my training would have to wait. 
                          
"Kelp."
                          
My heart fluttered as I heard my favorite voice, and I peeked an eye open as I turned my head, seeing Inumaki walking towards me. 
                          
"Hi there," I breathed out as I closed my eyes and returned to my sun-soaking.
                          
Inumaki was a second-year who I had only known for a few months now, but I always felt myself a little more at ease when he was around. 
                          
His presence was so comforting. He didn't talk much because of his technique, so I really didn't know much about him. 
                          
Even so, just his energy was enough to reel me in... We always say what we can, but I wish we could have real conversation. I'd love that.
                          
He hummed softly as he laid down next to me on the grass, placing his hands behind his head. 
                          
"It's a little warm out," I spoke up after a moment. "But still, I prefer the sun to the shade."
                          
I turned my head and opened my eyes to see him already looking at me. I smiled softly at him, "Which do you prefer?" 
                          
His eyes drifted around as he thought it over, and then he nodded up towards the sky, indicating he prefers the sunshine too.
                          
"Good choice," I nodded. "Now, for the real question... Daytime or nighttime?"
                          
"Hmm," he hummed before nodding up once again. 
                          
"Mm," I smirked. "That's where I'd have to disagree. I've always liked nighttime more."
                          
He turned his body to face me, holding his head up with his hand, "Seaweed?"
                          
"I just connect with the moon energy in a special way," I shrugged. "It fits more with my soul." 
                          
I glanced over at him, "I'm actually surprised. You seem to give off more of a moon vibe yourself."
                          
"Seaweed?"
                          
"Well, honestly, whenever you're around I feel lighter. So I just assumed we'd have that in common," I said before looking over at him. "Maybe it's more we balance each other out rather than share similarities."
                          
His eyes stared thoughtfully back at me, and I so badly wanted to know what he was thinking. Over the last couple of weeks, we've been spending more time alone together. 
                          
It wasn't much, just small, stolen moments like this one. But to me, it was so special. 
                          
"Y/n!!" another voice called out. "Why the hell are you all the way out here?!"
