I'll be dead by twenty seven- only nine more years to go,"
I hummed the melody of the song that was playing through my ears quietly. I chewed on the tip of my pen, a habit that had grew onto me, and frowned at the piece of paper before me. I groaned for the fifth time in that hour and loosened my grip on my pencil.
Just as I was about to give up on my math homework, my phone chimed. It's usual buzz held no attraction as I knew instantly who it was.
"Not you again," I mumbled under my breath as I sent a quick glance onto the screen of my phone. I clicked it off once I had seen the name. Just as I had expected- it was him.
"I couldn't be bothered Johnny," I whispered to the silence that was my room.
I ignored it as I twiddled my pen again between my sweaty fingers. I could only hear my ragged breathing and the systematic gust of wind blown by the fan.
"How the hell does my maths teacher expect me to know this?" I asked.
I groaned and pulled my laptop out from under my table. I turned on and blinked frantically at the sudden beam of light. The familiar face of my celebrity crush appeared as the icon.
Cole Sprouse
I blew him a playful kiss and typed in my password, which - obviously - was my birthday. I searched up an algebra calculator and searched the question up. As soon as the answer appeared, my brain just buffered even more.
"What in the actual world," I breathed out as I scratched my head.
All of a sudden, I heard the piercing creak, that I knew only to well, erupt from my window. I flinched, clasping my hands over my ears and snapped my head in that direction.
There stood a teenage boy. He had dirty blonde hair, which under the light looked brown. His eyes were glittering with amusement and he was staring at me with his usual smirk.
My mouth fell open and a gasp escaped. My hands raced to the back of my laptop and I pressed it shut. I stood up instantly, as I hurriedly bundled the covers of my bed and pushed it to the side, in what I would have called 'neat'
"Why isn't your bed made?" He asked. His voice was deep and soft but filled with pure amusement.
"Well I didn't expect visitors," I snapped, "What are you even doing here? How did you know my window was open? Why do you even know where I live?"
He let out a laugh and slipped his hands into his pockets and began to speak ;
"I'm here because you didn't respond to my text and I thought you got eaten by a lion or something, i didn't know your window was open. I guess it was just my lucky day. And lastly, you are so dumb. We are neighbours," he answered, rolling his eyes at the last statement.
"Why did god have to place your house right next to mine?" I moaned.
He laughed and sat down on my bed. He slipped his fingers out of his pocket and pulled his phone out.
"Help me with math homework?" He asked with a smile and cocked his head to the side.
I groaned and stomped up and down childishly.
"Even I don't know how to do it, but I figured out the first few answers," I said, "Do you want me to actually help you?"
"Can I copy ?" He asked, his smile growing.
"Sure, just don't tell the teacher. If we get in trouble, I blame you," I warned.
"We won't," he said confidently as he smiled in glee and grabbed the piece of paper that I was handing to him, "Just keep your bloody mouth shut and I will do the same,"
"Lauren doesn't count," I said instantly.
"Whose Lauren?" He asked, looking up from his piece of paper with a raised eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and smacked the back of his head.
"Your sister dumbass,"
"I have a siste- oh! her! ," he exclaimed.
"You're so dumb,"I sighed as I sat down next to him and snatched the paper out of his hands, "Do you know how to do number five?"
"Huh? Oh I didn't even look at the paper," he said and smiled cheekily.
"Johnny, I-,"
"Shush, not important," he said and placed a finger onto my lips. He stood up, instinctively pulling his finger away and glanced around my room.
"Your room is so boring," he groaned.
"Well I'm sorry my room doesn't meet your expectations," I grumbled, "can you just leave? I'll send you the answers once I figure them out,"
"B-but this is more fun," he pouted.
"Johnny!" I exclaimed, standing up and pushing him out the window.
He smirked and poked my side. I let out a laugh and pushed him away. He smiled and climbed out my window.
"Bye Kenzie,"He sang.
"Get out Orlando," I chuckled.
