Hello, Ira here! I mentioned this on my other book but I'm publishing all the drafts. Not sure what I'm gonna do from here but enjoy the content!

"This doesn't feel safe," Dream said, the wind whipping him in the face and blowing his cape out behind him. He shivered and wrapped his arms around himself, glad to be wearing my usual mask. Otherwise, his face probably would've been swept away by the wind.
"It's not supposed to be safe," Phil said with a gentle smirk. "You've already shown remarkable control, you're ready."
Dream gave him a dubious look he couldn't see, then looked out over the world. They were standing on the ledge of the highest torrent, overlooking most of the kingdom. Dream could practically taste the freedom, it was being handed to him on a silver platter. But he remembered everyone in the fighting arena. The servants, the forced labor out in the fields. He couldn't leave without them, he knew that much. For now, he will wait. For now, he will learn.
"Do I need to shove you," Tommy called from behind him. "Because I can shove you ya know."
"Please don't," he shivered out. He gulped a little, his eyes trained on the clouds and bright blue sky. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and stepped down shaking his head.
"I can't do it."
"You already have, you got this high when we were testing down there."
"Yes, and then I lost control and nearly turned into a Dream pancake on the ground."
"Yes, but I caught you," Phil said. "I'll be right beside you the entire time, I promise."
Dream stepped back up to the open air. His heart was pounding like crazy and his body felt light and floaty. He hated it, he wanted to be safe and far away from here. But he needed to win their trust to get out of here. Phil stepped up beside him and nodded at him encouragingly. Dream closed his eyes, forced his brain to shut up, and stepped into the open air.
Every sense in his body went into overdrive. His eyes flew open and something in him clicked. His wings fluttered and flew open as he slowed to a stop in the air, hovering. Techno was whooping from below, and Dream smiled widely. He felt powerful, there was no other way to describe it. Phil flew beside him, smiling just as widely.
"Can you keep up," he shouted, taking off across the sky. Dream took the challenge and dove after him, pushing himself to catch up. His wings buzzed frantically, his body was rigid as a board, and he could see all the way to the edges of the kingdom. Phil twisted around a tall tower and boosted off of it, his powerful wings flapping on the breeze. Dream snarled and whipped around the tower, focused only on Phil. He forced himself faster and faster, starting to gain ground. He put on one extra spurt of speed and passed him, whooping triumphantly. He turned to flaunt when he heard shouting. He gave them a confused look, then turned back forward to see a wall flying at him.
He yelled and swerved, narrowly missing the stone and gliding past it. His wing clipped it though and he lost control spiraling towards the ground at an alarming speed. He closed his eyes and braced, hoping to fair with minimal damage. Then, a pair of overly warm arms wrapped around his waist and he opened his eyes to see a pair of red red orbs staring at him before they crashed into the ground with a thud.
Dream groaned, laying on Techno's chest. The hybrid grunted and shoved him off, making Dream yelp. His ribs and abdomen hurt like hell, and he could already feel the headache forming. Techno was wheezing out breaths, his chest rising and falling at a rapid pace. Phil landed beside them with a gentler thud.
"Are you okay?"
"I think so," Techno grunted out, pushing himself upright. Dream stayed where he was, he didn't ever want to move again. "Where the hell were you?"
