 Within the Black Lion...

                          


                          
He couldn't help but freeze up as his eyes grew wide at the sight before them, his gripping tightening on the controls as they looked to the fleet of Galra cruisers before  them. 
                          
The rest of Voltron left back at the remains of Daibazaal meaning their own backup was inside the black lion already. But knowing that his back up was now Pidge who already admitted that her people didn't fully love her as the princess even after all she's done for them and how much she's proven herself to them in the past.
                          
 He was rather liking the idea of having Slav as his only back up .. might be cruel but Keith didn't want one of the most hated people by the Galra people as his back up. 
                          
It was a death sentence and they both knew it. 

                          
"Quiznak, I bet you're really regretting your live choices now, cowboy" Pidge commented as she leaned forward, knowing somewhere in one of those cruises stood her brother, Kuro and the witch who very much hated her. 

                          
"Might be just a little, this seemed like a rather good idea when I thought it was just going to be us and Kuro on the other side of that wormhole. I may have been very much mistake and is really hoping that you could use some Princess magic like Allura against our guests" Keith replied without any shame over his shaken up he was since Pidge was the same and neither would admit to being scared shitless whenever anyone asked them later.
                          
"I'm not Altean, I'm adopted. Plus, I think Haggar hates me as much as my brother hated our father" Pidge answered with a nervous frown as she popped her head beside Keith, her grip staying tight on the back of the pilot chair.
                          
"That bad" Keith muttered back in horror.
                          
"That bad" Pidge answered with a serious look making Keith looked back at the galra cruises towards them.
                          
"Can we agree that you're the worst person to join me on this trip" Keith commented as kept the black lion flying rather slow, building up their time to reaching the cruises.
                          
"Says the hot-headed guy who hits first and thinks later. You got us into this mess" Pidge shot back unamused and Keith just rolled his eyes.
                          
"My way of thinking sometimes works out perfectly" Keith argued back in his defence.
                          
"Why don't you pop out of the lion and tell your new friends that?" Pidge dryly replied as she lifted an unbelieving eyebrow towards him.

                          
"I said "sometimes" this is just one of those unlucky turns of events" Keith sighed in defeat.
                          
"Oh Quiznak, they're shooting at us" Pidge whispered in horror as she noticed the curies start to glow a little before shots came rushing towards them. Both of them jolting as the left wing of the black lion got hit, sparks shooting out from it.
