At home, Esti is quick to toss her backpack into her room precariously.

She beelines for the fridge, pulling out the carton of milk and searches around for one of the cups, only to find they've all been pushed to the back of the cabinets courtesy of Den putting them away. She notices he's been pushing them back more and more lately, but doesn't comment on it. She lets out an aggravated sigh.

"Den," she calls from the kitchen, moving to the pantry to pull out her tea in the meantime. "Help me get a cup."

Den drops his backpack right by the door, kicking his shoes off before wandering over to the kitchen. "Why, where are they? Aren't they in the cabinet? I didn't break any more, I swear."

"You always put them at the very back." She takes two teabags, deciding on Russian Caravan for tonight. "I..." 'm too short? You're taller than I am? "I can't reach them when you push them to the back."

"...Just grow taller then, it's not my problem." Despite saying that, he goes to the cabinet and takes out a few cups, setting them on the counter for her. "Here." Since when was she so short? Haha shortie.

"You're such a dick about it." She narrows her eyes at him, dropping her two teabags into a white mug. She focuses her gaze on the teabags before moving to turn the kettle on. "You've had a growth spurt. I've noticed." You keep pushing the dishes further out of my reach, unconsciously. "Thanks, though."

Den shakes his head, opening the fridge to see if there's any leftovers he can eat for a snack. "I'm not a dick. Just because I have one doesn't mean I am one."

"Pip would have apologised to me." Esti mumbles, crossing her arms as she leans back against the counter. "Maybe I should room with him for a while."

"Pip wouldn't be able to reach the cups either," Den shoots back.

"So he'd put them somewhere he could," Estonia reasons, "because I'm around his height, I'd be able to reach them too."

"But then you're not making use of all the cabinet space, that's being wasteful." He settles for a single slice of cold pepperoni pizza that had been in there for who knows how long. "At least I'm using the whole space."

The kettle turns off with an audible click that separates their conversation. The shorter of the two sigh, lifting the jug and making herself the tea. She's silent for a few moments.

"Kiss me." She decides to blurt when she sets the kettle down, eyes focused on the diffusing tea. She can't look at him when she asks for-- or demands-- things like that.

Den looks at her with a mouth full of pizza. "Hm?"

Her eyebrows furrow and her face grows hotter. Her fingers decide to settle on the mug. It burns a little. "Kiss me." it's quieter the second time.

"...Can I finish my pizza first, or is this a limited time offer?" Admittedly, Den enjoys kissing Esti more than he knows he should, but he also enjoys pizza more than he probably should.

Shame burns her ears a different shade of red.

She pulls the tea bags out of her cup, walking over to the sink and throwing them away in the bins underneath the sink. She shuts the cabinet door, unscrewing the cap of the milk jug before adding a generous dash into her cup, thrusting the milk into the fridge (with the cap on) all whilst avoiding Den's gaze.

Bee-lining for her cup, she picks it up and heads off-- away from Den. That was the priority. She hates being teased about kissing because it makes her feel even more pathetic than she already felt.

Den sighs softly, opting to just throw the rest of the pizza away and follow Esti... He didn't understand why she got all shy like this. "Esti, I can't kiss you if you run away."
