"Lieutenant Colonel,
n-no, you damn traitor!"

A Week Later

Everything after that day ended up putting Vien back to her normal life as a Survey Corps medic. She was usually seen with Hanji in the Commander's office, continuing their researches like they used to. Everyone treated her the same as before, and the people around her acted like nothing ever happened

"We should station at the west side of our docks now. As I recall from their blueprints, they're planning to send more than 2 ships tonight"

Vien wrote down on a parchment, and gave it to Hanji who read it afterwards. She nodded "Sure, but are you sure you're coming along?"

"I told you I'm part of the assault squad Jiji" Vien rolled her eyes, replying "Baam bam and shoot shoot shoot people is what I do"

The women fought the urge to play around again, and focused on their paperwork. But they'd steal glances for a short while, both resisting the urge to laugh until someone does it first. The pair was still as frolic as ever, that they needed to be separated during serious situations

Vien noticed that Hanji was trying to make her laugh, so she hid her face under the papers and chided her "Stop looking at me like that!"

"Pst" She clicked her tongue - Vien brought the papers down, and saw Hanji holding artificial guns "I made these babies to practice my aiming angles. You wanna play?"

They both looked at the time, before averting back to each other with a smirk. Vien stood up, stretching "An hour till sunset, so I'm in. I won't go easy on you tho"

"Hm, beating the master would be quite a challenge" Hanji handed over one of the guns, "Each of it is loaded with 10 pint-sized rocks. It'll work just like a real gun, so the person who scores more rocks before they run out is the winner"

Vien reloads the toy gun, and they stood on the opposite ends of the huge room before they started the game. Running around the office, they yelled out many phrases while chasing each other. It was literally a loud mess - hiding behind the tables and rolling around the floor, they were like the kids playing tag

"I scored four and you scored two, how many you have left?" Hanji yells from behind one of the sofas

"I still have eight" "What?! I have 3"

When two of them stepped out of their hiding spot, Hanji was fast to aim, but Vien was faster to dodge. The doctor went on her knees, and burst into laughter once Hanji formed a crack on the flower vase

After hearing Hanji whine loudly in frustration, she yelled "It's my turn now Hanji Zoe, you're down"

Vien lunged from behind the sofa. She stepped on its backrest for support, and while she was in the air, began to rotate 360 degrees frontwards as she aimed her gun on the person in front of her. A second after she pulled the trigger, she landed perfectly on the ground

"That's three points for meee" Vien chuckled, standing up to reload her gun again. But upon spotting Hanji on the other side of the room, she wondered how she got there so fast

- and why is her jaw dropped, what is she looking at? Vien averted her gaze to the person she was looking at. And the second she recognized the person, her heart fell out of her body as she realized who she shot

There stood Levi, who stared at the pebble that hit him on the forehead

He picked the pebble up, flicking his eyes towards Vien "Looks like you two are having the time of your lives, why was I involved?"
