10:00AMI jumped around, shaking my hands out of nervousness while waiting for my mum to enter the room with my dress and everything else we needed to get me ready for today.
Honestly, I wanted to scream.
I was so anxious, so nervous yet really excited to get to marry George today.
I was standing in one of the rooms at the Burrow, looking out of the window. I had an overview over the spot where the ceremony was going to take place.
Green grass everywhere, white flowers, brown chairs on either side with white cushions on and at the end of the aisle was a green wedding arch with white flowers braided into it.
It was only ten in the morning and the guests wouldn't arrive until about thirty minutes before the ceremony so right now it was only closest family on both my side and George's side, and friends who came to help.
Mum was starting by doing my hair.
She was still pregnant but could give birth any moment now. The healer that has to help the baby get to the world, told her that right now... the baby looks to be anywhere from hours to days from getting here.
I'm anxious whether or not he'll arrive today, because it is my wedding and while my mum can't exactly control when she goes into labour, I want my mum to be present at the wedding.
A knock at the door made me jump, but as I turned around, I saw mum walk through with her makeup bag and my dress in her other hand, packed into a dress bag.
"Nervous?"
I took a deep breath, chuckling at her question.
"Or excited?" She asked closing the door after her. She hung the dress on the door and walked over to place the makeup bag on the desk.
"A mix between the two." I said, biting down on my lip while I watched my mum unpack everything from the bag.
Both makeup and things for the hair.
"I mean, I know I want to marry him and I love him so I don't know why I'm so nervous."
"Almost everyone are nervous at their wedding, darling. It's the pressure of wanting everything to be perfect and being scared that things won't go as smoothly as you want them to." Mum said and turned to me, pointing at her belly. "Which is why... I'm keeping this baby in my tummy for now."
"Don't think that's up to you if I have to be honest with you, mum."
"Oh honey, this is my fifth child." She smiled. "I think I'll manage to ignore the contractions if they start."
I rolled my eyes and mum went back to unpacking her things.
"Whose room is this?" Mum asked. "Ginny's?"
"Yeah." I nodded. "She let us borrow it so I can have an overlook over the garden."
I looked out of the window again, folding my arms over my chest.
"Do you still love dad?" I asked as I watched dad speak to Grayson outside.
"If I still love your dad?"
"Yeah." I breathed. "I mean, I know you're married to Reed and I know you're happy. I'm glad that you are happy. I also know that you and dad fought a lot but... do you still love him?"
Mum sighed.
"Come sit, darling. We better get started on your hair."
I pressed my lips together as I made my way over and sat in the chair in front of mum.
"Your dad told you the reason he divorced Rose, didn't he?"
I hummed.
"I've always loved your father. I still do, and Reed knows and respects that. But even though he never cheated on me with Rose, he still cheated with Claire and children behind my back. I should have left back them, though I'm happy I didn't because then you, Will and the girls wouldn't have been here."
Mum brushed through my hair while I stared down at my nails.
I had an appointment a few days ago for a manicure, pedicure and a full body wax.
It was difficult to have a stranger wax my bikini line because all I could think about was a stranger seeing the same area where Cameron had touched me.
I was definitely better, but sometimes it would just hit me that I was raped... that it did happen.
"I can tell that he's trying to change." Mum told me. "He wants to be a better father for you and your siblings. I just hope you'll give him a chance to show it."
I inhaled sharply.
"I know it's hard for you too." She said and found her curling iron, getting it ready. "He's let you down too many times. All I'm asking is that you try."
"I will."
11:30AM
"Marco!" I shrieked as he tripped over the chair, almost dropping the eyeshadow on the floor. "Be careful!"
His laughter filled the room as he carefully put the eyeshadow down to not ruin it.
"Do you even know how expensive that is?" Eleanor asked. "How expensive makeup is?"
"I've got an idea, little one." Marco shook his head and gasped when Eleanor flipped him off. "Your mum would've killed me if I broke it."
"You think?" I asked. "She would've fucking decapitated you."
Marco pulled his chair closer to me and sat down so he could do my makeup.
Angie was in here, talking to Charlotte, Ginny and Hermione as the four sat on the bed.
Eleanor was watching what Marco was doing, probably so she could point out if he did anything she didn't like.
"You saw George before, didn't you?" I asked Marco who nodded at me while picking up the foundation. "How does he look?"
"Fucking hot."
"Good." I said, causing Marco to laugh.
"Though, he hasn't gotten dressed yet." He said. "He's not getting dressed until in over two hours."
I hummed, wincing as I felt the cold foundation against my skin.
"Christ that's cold."
"Sit still." He ordered me and I did what he told me to.
"Can I see the schedule for today?" Ginny asked as she got off the bed and approached the desk where I sat with Marco who had been thrilled that I allowed him to do my makeup.
"It should be in my bag by the door." I said. "You can go get it."
I looked at Marco as he was focused on the foundation. He himself was wearing eyeliner, lipgloss and he had painted his nails black to match his suit.
He wanted to wear a skirt for the wedding, but he got scared that he'd get judged so he backed out. It hurt to see him feel insecure and that made me realise how he felt when I was insecure.
"What is... first looks?" Ginny asked, walking over to me. "It's at two o'clock."
"Oh, yeah it's uh... we decided to include that so we would see each other in the outfits before the ceremony, one on one for some bride and groom photos." I said. "That way we got to see each other before we have to stand in front of everyone at the same time.
Ginny nodded.
"Oh, drinks with the girls." She read. "That's after Marco's done your makeup. Does that mean we get to drink?"
I chuckled.
"No, George was very strict on no alcohol." I said. "It's apple juice."
"Seriously?" Ginny looked at me. "Maybe I should go have a chat with my brother about that."
