it's been two weeks since the last time i went back to the 80s. i've been doing really good and having a lot of fun filming on set everyday.

i miss jason and the corey's already but, it's felt good working on getting my life back together. i'm snuggled up under my covers in bed trying to fall asleep, but all i keep thinking about is how i gave my ring to corey haim. the one that opens the portal and allows me to travel back to them whenever i want.

i told him to take it and keep it safe. that way i didn't have it anymore and wasn't tempted to go right back the next day after saying i was going to stop for a little while. i told corey to use it and come get me in a couple weeks. but obviously, if they needed me for something, to come whenever.

a soft, repeated noise coming from outside started to become louder than my own thoughts. i furrowed my eyebrows, opening my eyes and squinting in the dark towards my window.

it stopped for a couple seconds but then there it was again. and this time i could see little black dots hitting my window.

i threw my covers off of me, swinging my legs off the side of my bed and standing up. i tip toed over to my window and pressed my forehead against it, trying to see down to the ground.

another black spec hit the glass, an inch away from my face causing me to jump back thinking i'd get hit.

"what the-" i mumbled to myself and then pushed the window open.

"hey!" i whisper-yelled as more stuff was thrown up to me, shooting right inside of my room.

"kennedy!" corey whispered loud enough for me to hear. i could finally make out that it was him. he stood on the grass waving up at me.

"what is that stuff?"

"mulch." he said, holding up a handful of it.

i giggled, excited to see him, but worried of why he came.

"climb up!" i whispered down to him. there's a lower level of my house below my bedroom. it's where the dining room sticks out and the roof is directly below my room. i took out the screen from my window years ago. naomi and i used to climb out on the roof and tan in the summers.

i watched as corey climbed his way up and then i stepped back, allowing him space to come into my room.

i immediately hugged him once he was in front of me, "i was just thinking of you! i couldn't sleep."

"really?"

"yes! and about my ring too, isn't that weird?" i pulled back with a smile on my face.

"we're practically the same person, i thought we established that by now?" he raised an eyebrow as he smirked at me.

"you're right. i think we are." i nodded my head and then laughed.

"so this is your room." he said, looking around but he probably can't see much. all of my lights are still off.

"yup." i glanced around, "i'm happy you were able to find my house."

"i still have your address you wrote out for me." he smiled, holding up the folded piece of paper i gave him 3 weeks ago.

"i'm glad you didn't lose it." i let out a deep exhale, "so what's going on? did something bad happen?"

"what? no-"

"i don't know, you're here after midnight and my heart started racing thinking something went wrong!"

"nothing went wrong! i'm here after midnight because i thought ... how would people react to seeing me in broad daylight 8 years after i died?"

silence fell between us in the room.

"probably not good." i shook my head in agreement.

corey started laughing, "yeah, 8 years is a little worse than seeing you only two months after your death."

"alright, we're not gonna get cocky over who's been dead the longest in different dimensions." i teased.

he shook his head with a smile, "i did come here for something very important though." the smile immediately dropped from his face.

"what?"

i watched as he took a deep breath in, like it was something very serious he had to tell me.

"i was wondering if ..." he took a long dramatic pause, "we could watch the titanic."

my jaw dropped.

"the titanic? that's what you came for?"

"yes, kennedy! i really need to know what all the fuss is about over leonardo dicaprio drowning and letting go of a door!"

i playfully shoved his shoulder, "alright, alright. we'll watch it."

i jumped back into my bed and patted the space next to me for him.

i grabbed my tv remote and turned on my tv hanging on the wall opposite of my bed.

"it's over 3 hours long by the way."

"huh?" his eyes were wide.

"yeah, but you're lucky we're streaming it. i used to have it on tape when i was little and it was too long to fit on one. had to switch it out halfway through the movie."

"geez, well what is this?" he pointed at the netflix loading screen, "what else is there besides vhs tapes?"

i froze for a minute at his 1980s brain.

"dvds, streaming sites, which is what this is."

"what's a dvd?"

"it's a circular disk that has a movie or a song on it. you know, instead of it being in a chunky rectangle."

i began searching for the titanic on the screen.

"well, if you aren't actually putting the movie into the tv, then where does it come from?" he seemed very interested in this.

the titanic popped up and i hit play before looking over at him, "nobody knows."
