waking up the next day was like hell to dream.
because he loved it. dear god, he loved it so much.
the sex, the touching, the breathless kisses and soft murmurs throughout the night. waking up with a pretty brunette in his arms, snoring softly as the golden daylight began to poor into the bedroom.
it was so ethereal to dream. so utterly perfect.
which is why the blonde hated it so much. he hated that he allowed himself to fall this hard for this ordinary boy.
but george wasn't ordinary. he was impeccable.
he was everything that dream wanted. the blonde would kill to wake up with george in his arms every day of the year, for as long as they lived.
but he knew he couldn't. he knew he shouldn't.
george needed the money, and a place to live. that's the only reason he's stayed so far.
it's the last day of the week they agreed to fake their relationship. the last day of 7 long, beautiful days.
dream knew he couldn't ask for more time. it would be wrong of him to take advantage of the boy. plus, the blonde knew if he faked it any longer, he would fall heads over heels even more then he already has.
george stirred in his arms. dream smiled down at the awakening brunette, waiting for his eyes to flutter open.
"goodmorning," dream hummed as he unwrapped his arms from around george, sitting up against the bed frame.
"morning," george replied in a yawn, stretching his arms above his head as he faced the ceiling.
"today's the last day you have to put up with me being your boyfriend," dream chuckled.
george groaned, falling quiet before sliding himself out from under the covers and placing himself on dream's lap.
they were both still naked besides their boxers.
george ran a thumb over dream's jaw before pulling him into a morning kiss.
the blonde was surprised, but eagerly kissed back.
george pulled away first, smiling down at dream's flushed face.
"i can't believe i won't be able to see that expression anymore after today," george grinned, rolling off of dream and pulling on a pair of jeans.
the blonde sat there, stunned at what just occurred.
did george mean that?
he watched as the brunette left the room, slipping his shirt over his small torso as he retreated.
dream ran his hands over his face with a groan.
this was going to be a long last day.

"are you ready?" bad asked, his voice ringing through the empty building.
dream nodded, focusing his eyes on the lens of the camera.
george watched as the blonde posed for the picture. he scanned his body, admiring the way the light shadowed his toned muscles, making his arms and stomach look more defined then they already were.
the brunette couldn't deny that dream was attractive. he obviously had his instagram platform for a reason, and that was his good looks and high ego.
george took in his outfit, gazing at the nikes paired with white jeans. he looked angelic, almost too pure for the internet too see. too sacred, too personal.
his skin was shiny against the white fabric and the light blaring onto it. his lips were slightly parted, staring directly at the camera.
george wouldnt admit it, but he really wanted the blonde to look at him like that. not some stupid camera.
he caught dream's eyes as he continued staring. with the blonde's knowledge that george was staring, dream bit his lip back, holding his gaze with the brunette as he leaned back into the wall he was placed at to stand against.
oh, fuck off
george broke his eye contact, blushing furiously. the blonde knew what he was doing, and he was proud of it.
just a couple more hours, george repeated to himself in his head.

it was 11:57 PM on sunday.
both boys were sitting on the couch, watching a movie as the time slowly ticked by.
11:58
"two more minutes and then you're a free man," dream chuckled, rubbing his own hands together as he scooted back into the couch.
"i suppose that's true," george nodded slowly, clearing his throat as the air grew thicker around them.
11:59
dream snuck sneaky glances at the brunette.
he wanted to pull him close and tell him how much he cares about him. how all of his feelings were so, so real, and it wasn't just for the media. it was so much more than that.
george caught dream's quick glances every now and then, but decided not to say anything about it. he figured the blonde was just trying to see if the brunette was relieved or nervous, or both.
time ticked by slowly as the boys zoned the movie out. there was no sound besides the two of them in the room, sitting on the couch, waiting for the minute to pass by.
slowly, surely... any second now.
12:00 AM
dream gazed up at george as the clock's hands shifted.
george stared back, his expression unreadable and blank.
the area they sat in felt like a bubble as the air grew tight and limited. it was the two of them, staring at each other, waiting for the other to do something.
george let out a giggle, turning back to the movie. "i guess i'm a free man now."
dream let out a breath he didn't recognize he had been holding. "yeah, yeah you are."
but dream didn't want him to be.
dream wanted george to still be dating him. he wanted to hold his hand, kiss his lips, pose with him for the camera.
except he didn't want it to be fake. he wanted it to be real.
