For all the years I've fought
in my life, I knew that I'd always
lose someone dear to me. It's
all I learned in this blood stained life of mine

Everything had a cost,
whether it be our victory,
or our very own lives

I grew up learning that,
so I knew beforehand that there
are times when the story must
go on, even if we know, they
won't be part of it anymore

It got me thinking, who's the
next person I won't
be seeing in the next chapter?

I never expected it'd be you

"Dr. Vien what are you doing here?! Weren't you supposed to stay on the back lines?" Eren exclaimed, as he saw a specific lady climb the walls, rushing to them "You shouldn't be here!"

Hanji's eyes widen itself, seeing the doctor out in the open "Vien, Erwin ordered you to stay on the ground. It's too dangerous staying out here"

"Where's Erwin and Armin?" It was the first thing she asked them

"I don't know what those two are talking about. The Armoured Titan is approaching and all we could do is sit still" Connie averted his eyes

"No," Vien muttered "I'm sure those two must've thought of something"

A small grin showed on Hanji's face, as she realized that tone of her voice. It was the same as whenever she has an idea in mind

"And I suppose you do?" She spoke

"Well, it's just a mere speculation but I noticed that titans are slowly appearing out of nowhere. That quadruple type is-" She was cut off

They were all interrupted by the loud yell behind them. Turning their heads around, it was Levi who was approaching them. And once his eyes fell on the doctor, he didn't look happy to see her there

"What the hell are you thinking? You're supposed to be staying down there Vien" Levi chastised

She had her hood on before going up the walls to hide from them, but Levi somehow was still able to recognize her from afar. Even if her face was covered. Vien sighed

"Hanji" Levi turned to the four eyed woman "You should not tolerate her disobeying orders"

But Hanji defended her "Dr. Vien has another theory this time. You know that her thoughts contribute to all of our expeditions big time"

"She's not allowed to" Levi gritted his teeth, staring bluntly at the girl

The whole situation they were in was a mess. The enemies were fast approaching and it was nowhere near to what was expected. With the large number of titans showing up, their hopes of making it out alive were fading away. And it was merely just the start of their chaos

Hanji knew that Levi was mad because he didn't want Vien being in the front lines, not in this deadly mission. But Hanji was disregarding personal feelings in this expedition. Vien obviously wanted to contribute to their plan instead of aiding people, but her ability to do so was being suppressed. If that's what her friend wanted, then they have no right to stop her. Which is why Levi's hesitation on letting the doctor help was infuriating Hanji
