In Alura's second year, Tom Riddle revealed that she had an uncle kidnapped by death eaters. He offered a trade: Ginny Weasley's life for her uncles. At that moment, she hesitated, and that's when she and Harry's hatred truly started. It only took them a few years to find out they hated each other. After Tom Riddle was banished again, Harry was immediate to call her out.

"You hesitated, Alura!"

"I-I," she stuttered over her words, looking for the right thing to say, but she couldn't. "I'm sorry" Is what she settled on.

"You're sorry?" Harry mimicked and scoffed. "We don't even know if Tom's telling the truth! We don't even know if your uncle is a good man, nonetheless if you have one!"

"You more than anyone should know how much I want a family!" she shouted back.

"Maybe. But I wouldn't trade one life for another to get it." He began to walk away.

"Don't walk away from me," she said strictly as she grabbed his hand.

"What else do you want to say, huh?" he shouted. "What could you possibly say in this moment that would make me look at you the same?"

She gulped the lump in her throat as tears began pricking in her eyes. "We can't turn on each other, Harry. We both know that he's not gone for good. So, yes, I did hesitate, but if we're going to win this, we have to be on the same page."

"I'll give it to you; you're right," he admitted. "Give me time, and maybe I'll forgive you."

Alura nodded as she wiped tears from her face. Harry walked away from her after that. She wanted him to turn back and throw his arms around her, chanting, "It's okay, I forgive you!" But she knew that was unrealistic. What she didn't realize was that this was when their friendship began falling apart. And nothing would be the same after that night.

THIRD YEAR

Sirius Black had just uncovered that Peter Pettigrew was Ron's rat, Scabbers. Alura was utterly confused. Ron wouldn't let her get any closer to the scene since he was protectively standing in front of her. All Alura could do was stand there and listen. It was torture.

"Hey! James wouldn't have wanted me killed! He would've showed me mercy!" Peter begged as he threw himself to Harry. He then turned to Alura. "Your uncle would've spared me! Please!"

Alura coward behind Ron, but that didn't stop Harry from seeing her. Tom Riddle wasn't lying in the Chamber of Secrets.

"If Voldemort wouldn't kill you, you should've known that we would have!"

"No!" Harry shouted.

Alura stepped out and looked at Harry as if she was a mad man. "Seriously?"

"I'll take him to the castle," he declared.

Alura hated how Harry always called the shots. She hated how everyone went along with it, and she had had enough.

"Harry, I know it's in a Gryffindor's nature to be the hero and all, but it's not in a Slytherin's." Alura raised her wand to call out a spell, when a firm hand grabbed her wrist. Ronald Weasley.

"Alura, no." He took her wand and tucked it safely in his pocket.

She inhaled and exhaled before turning to Harry. She bit back the not-so-kind words that were edging on her tongue. After deciding that arguing wouldn't help anyone, she stormed past Harry.
