Naomi McKay is running away. After a catastrophic end to her three-year relationship, she needs to escape Hampshire to focus on what she really wants in life. St Ives, Cornwall seems like the perfect place for her, far away from everyone and everything she knows. However, her harmonious getaway is cut short when she runs into the lightkeeper who is in dire need of help, and for some reason, she finds herself wanting to come to this strangers rescue. Next second, Naomi is thrust into a fake relationship, multiple Cornish summer parties, family gatherings, self-discovery, a lighthouse, and a summer she'll never forget.

Also It made me realise something about myself ... I want to fall in love with a kind but sexy lightkeeper and live in a lighthouse surrounded by wildflowers. #NewLifeGoal
Harry is so shy, sweet, thoughtful and a little quirky and Naomi is kind, strong and so open to new things and people. I also loved the townsfolk who remind me of the supporting characters in a Joanne Harris novel like Chocolat ....so full of personality and each important and well rounded in their own way (this is definitely meant as a complement)
It's a book that has everything you want-family, friends, some sexy stuff, karaoke and delicious sounding food. It is also so sensitively written and respectful of people and culture, and it just made me happy!
