After Mazikeen's explanation, Kol had sprung forward, grabbed anything he could put his hands on, and throw to the wall. Poor Jeremy's room looked like there was an earthquake. « But that's not the whole story is it? », he says after a moment.
He was holding a lamp and dropped it as he walked forward, slowly closing on his brother. « You were in the plan too, weren't you? », he rhetorically asks, with anger coating his voice.
Kol knew the answer, he knew there was something fishy about Esther coming back to life, but after all these years and finally being reunited with his siblings, he thought for once they could all stand as one. But the sudden discovery angered him, he was so angry at the fact that his parents and brother were never going to change the way they viewed him, like a monstrous beast.
Mazikeen stepped between Kol and Finn as the former was visibly shaking, a sign that he was losing control of himself. She glanced back at Finn who looked scared. So with a sigh, she walked closer to the younger Mikaelson, a bold move but she needed him calmer, or else Finn wasn't going to last until tonight, something that would hinder everything they did until now.
« Kol. », she spoke softly, his attention behind her, on his brother.« Esther and Finn planned this but Finn- », before she could continue, Kol marched forward and as she was no match, she backed up the more he advanced until she placed a hand on his chest and he finally stopped. Though, his attention was still behind her.
« So that's how it is? Momma's boy always doing what she says? You never cared about us! Only you! », he yells at his brother, cutting her off.
« You were planning to kill us with Esther? I don't even know why I'm surprised. You were always a momma's boy, always doing what she said. You never cared about us! It was always about you and how you felt! All because your pathetic self couldn't bear being a vampire. Even before you were one, you were always pathetic! »
« PATHETIC? Never cared? Don't you see what kind of monsters we are? We shouldn't have existed. We are abominations! You and our siblings have killed thousands of people, if not millions. Tortured humans for generations all over the world. And you- », he paused, with a disgusted look.
« You've never controlled your thirst, Elijah is the hypocrite nobleman, hiding behind his word and love for family to justify everything he does. Rebekah is a capricious little girl. Above all Niklaus, is a hybrid that should have never been. We are monsters Kol. WE ARE! Face it, when you're the most dangerous one of us. »
That did it, one second Kol was in front of her, and the next, he had his hand in Finn's chest, trapping and squeezing it. From the grimace on Finn's face, Mazikeen could tell it was extremely painful.
Shaking her head to snap out of her stupor, she glanced at Jeremy, a look that meant for him to stay back, before approaching the duo. She made sure to be slow and careful, after all, coma or not, Kol and Finn were vampires and the former was a psychotic and unpredictable vampire. Cute, but unpredictable.
Any wrong move or word, Finn would be dead, and with that not only all vampires he ever turned but also her plan.
Hastily, she marched towards Kol until she was next to him. She hoped his rationalism hasn't left the room yet. « Kol, stop! KOL! STOP! »
Kol tightened his grip on his brother's heart, unpleased with her words. « Stop? Didn't you hear what he said? About our family? About me? I should kill him so he wouldn't stare at those said abominations. »
« I heard it Kol. But I know from deep inside your heart you knew that already. You've always been smarter than anybody else. You knew Esther was up to something. And you know that killing him- your brother won't resolve the issue. You know it won't make you feel better. It won't be a way to get back at Esther, the woman who caused all of this. », she says firmly.
