Finlay pinched the bridge of her nose in irritation, 'god, I hate it when they do that, when they devise a whole plan to fuck around with you', she leaned back in the chair, but her eyes flew to the monitors and Storm knew that she was still on edge from the "power outage".

'But'.

Storm tried to grab her attention, he hadn't shown Baloc the necklace either, so now's the chance. He pulled out the necklace and Finlay's eyes grew wide, 'are you kidding me? That's the necklace?'
Baloc reached out to touch the little scarecrow on it, 'it is... That's the necklace we found, Melissa must have dropped it when she fell off the roof', Finlay frowned, 'fell off the roof? What was she doing? Cleaning the gutters?' Storm chuckled, even though now wasn't the best of times, 'no, she threw herself out of the window when we turned our backs on her, because we identified her door to be the the one that Patricia had been shoved against'.

'Very good the both of you'.

'But now we have two people on the run, one of them is a killer!'

Storm raked his fingers through his hair in frustration, but Baloc shook his head, 'we'll get the team out, we can't do this on our own', he turned to leave but halted just at the entrance and turned back, 'permission to do so?' He looked Finlay dead in the eyes and she nodded, 'knock yourself out'.

Leo Foils flicked through his computer. and wiped his palms on his jeans. He was afraid, because someone had a lead on them, 'Marcus!' He yelled he felt his presence behind him, 'what? What's -'.
Leo knew that this was bad news judging by Marcus's reaction, 'are you fucking kidding me!? He's found us!'

'I thought this software was perfect!'

Leo shot up from the chair to face his friend but Marcus shook his head, 'it was perfect at the start but it can only do so much! We need to go, we have to get out of here and change location!'

'And where do you think we should go? We're still meant to be under the radar!'

Marcus closed his eyes for a few moments, 'look, I know we're meant to, but right now we don't have any other place to go, so we have to hit the hotels, because if we stay on the streets we could get sick and then we won't be able to run, and also! We have laptops and we actually need them, so they'll be no use to us if they're dead!'

Leo shut the computer down and started packing the two laptops and extra wires, 'right, sorry', he felt Marcus grab his shoulder, 'it's okay, we need to hurry though'.
Leo managed to find one of Marcus's family suitcases and began piling clothes and other goods inside. He hated being rushed because he knew that something might get left behind, but this was a situation where they won't be able to come back and retrieved it. Their lives were at stake.
They had loaded the SUV and cut the power after making sure that they had the necessary things.

'Time to go'.

Leo said, but he almost rolled his ankle when Marcus spun him around and planted another kiss on his lips, 'a kiss for good luck just in case -'.

'We'll make it through, I promise'.

Leo quickly interrupts, 'we always do', and with that, they quickly hopped into the car and sped off into the night.
