He knocked on her door and waited until she answered and when the door to her bedroom opened, he showed her the necklace. Her eyes lit up with happiness, 'you found it! Where was it?''It took a bit to scan the area through the computer, the facility was a lot bigger than I thought, so I had to be careful and it also was a lucky guess for what room they had kept it in. They had it in some sort of examination room on a little tray'.
'Was it easy trying to get in?'
He nodded, 'yeah, I went through the shafts, but I only had a limited amount of time to move, and also when I found that room, I ran straight into a guy and had a little fight with him'.
He looked down at his knuckles which were still stained with the mans blood, 'I'll wash this off, I may have broken some skin though', he muttered as he made his way to the sink.
'Thank you for getting this back from me'.
'I won't wear it anymore, just in case something like that happens again'.
He didn't want to risk all that again, not when he'd be in danger of being caught. She joined his side and leaned against the counter, 'I've tried to find Humphrey and damn he;s pretty damn good at hiding, but'.
'But?'
'I was able to track him down again'.
He cries out in delight, 'how could I do this without you!' He hugs her tightly, 'we have to work fast though', she says, 'they're getting closer'.
'I feel so too, come on, lets head upstairs'.
'What happens if they come? What do we do?'
'We don't let them get to us'.
Storm examined the warrant, 'you ready to head over to the Graves's place?' he looked over at Baloc who slid his gun into his holster, he wasn't going to shoot anyone, but it was always safe to have something to back you up.
'So, we need to check the rooms in their house, see which one has been damaged the most and hopefully none of the doors have been fixed'.
The car ride was silent, and Storm didn't mind it at this point, the case was growing on him and he started to understand how Baloc felt when he had a face off with Deacon's brother.
'You scare me when you do that'.
Baloc's voice brings him back, 'sorry, I've just been thinking that's all', his eyes never leaving the road.
'What if I'm wrong, what am I gonna do?' There, the question was asked and now the time for it to be answered. Baloc sighed, 'I think your gut is right, Graves has got something to do with this'.
'You think so?'
Baloc chuckled, 'I've been by your side on this case, I'm starting to feel the same way about Graves, so I'm feeling something add about it, I'm probably right'.
'But this time, it's me that's probably right'.
Baloc squinted his eyes in an attempt to be rather angry, 'you're very lucky I'm driving at the moment'.
