Nick barely helped as the other two boys dragged his body across the sand.

"Clay," Nick let out between heavy breaths.

"Mmhmm."

"Do you hate me?"

"WHAT? No, you idiot."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Nick. Obviously I don't hate you. Sometimes you just do things to piss me off." He glanced down to the shit faced boy who's body he was dragging through sand. "Honestly, I don't think I would get as pissed if I didn't care about you as much. If that makes sense."

A cheesy grin made its way on Nick's face.

"Well, I can be a control freak at times."

"Yeah, you can. Just like I can be stubborn."

"Yes, you definitely can be." Clay rolled his eyes. "Listen, I'm sorry bro. I still think i'm right in the situation, but I don't wanna fight anymore. I'm done being petty and adding fuel to the fire."

"Is the fuel yourself?" George joked.

"It almost was, yes." All three of the boys laughed. "But listen, I don't like it when you're mad at me. It makes me feel irrational. Nobody can piss me off the way you do."

"Right back at you." Clay paused. "It's okay Nick. I think we were both wrong about some things."

"Ehh. Maybe just you."

"Watch it." Clay warned.

"But forreal, forreal. You're my brother, man." Nick started to tear up.

"Nick, are you crying?" George asked. Clay and George started to laugh.

"NO! I'm just a bit emotional because I love you bro. You're my best friend." He embraced him, crying softly into his shoulder. "I'm gonna miss you so much." Clay glanced at a confused George.

He's gonna miss him? What does that mean?

"I'm not going anywhere, Nick." Clay returned his hug. Nick pushed himself back and wiped his eyes. "I love you man, you're my brother. You are the best friend I've ever had, and I mean that!" He looked toward George and put an arm on his shoulder. "This man right here," He said, pointing at Clay. "Is the best man you will ever know."

I know. George thought to himself.

"He's definitely something." George said. "I'll leave you two to the bromance." George said, he knew this was a sentimental moment and decided it would be best to give them time to properly repair their friendship in private.

Clay nodded to George as he walked off, as he continued to help Nick to his car.

"I'm glad we're not fighting, anymore."

"Me too, Nick. I wanted to party with you."

"Let's go! Let's go party!" Nick started to run back down to the bonfire before he tripped over God knows what and fell face first into the sand.

Clay laughed hysterically at this.

"How about," he started to offer as he picked Nick back up from the ground. "we take you to the car and you get some rest and sober up a little bit. And then we can go party, sound good?"

Nick nodded his head enthusiastically. "Okay, good idea." He said, as they approached the car. Clay opened the door for Nick.

"Remind me." Nick said before he hopped in the car. "There's something really important I have to tell you when I'm-" nick stopped to think. "A little more sobered."
