Fluffff! (I really enjoyed making this one. It's been a while but the return of logicality is here)
Patton POV
I knock on Logan's door, full of excitement and happiness, almost jumping for joy. Logie has been stressed lately (a new emotion to add to the dictionary he has stored full of 'useless' feelings) and so I have brought him a new onesie! I'm not sure what he's into or if he'll even like it but it's the only thing I have lying around. Plus, it matches my cat one that I'm wearing right now. It's a dog!
I knock on his door again since he probably didn't hear before but I wear a big gleaming grin on my lips, hopefully I can cheer him up. He deserves to take a break and he knows when people should take rests so maybe he'll accept and come hang out with me!
The door opens up and Logan is standing in the entrance to his lit up room.
"Hey Logie!" I exclaim with joy flooding my voice. "I found this in my room and it matches mine!" I hand it to him and he grips it, a small smile on his lips which makes me feel giddy inside so I jump briefly.
"Thank you, Patton. I will keep it in my safe box-" just as he's about to turn away and leave, I quickly grab his hand, making him face my way again.
"No! You're gonna wear it now! I've set up a den in my room! We're gonna watch your favourite Disney film! 'Big Hero 6', and then one of mine: 'Secret Life of Pets'!" He glances back at his room, holding a stare at some of his paper and work but then he looks at me with his smile back on his face!
"I accept the proposal, Patton. Let me quickly change into this dog onesie then." I nod repeatedly, up and down, letting his hand go and I step back to let him close the door to change into the dog onesie I gave him. Yay! That's the first time I've seen him smile in days!
Logan's POV
I shut the door close, turning around to lean my back on it, heart thumping fast in my chest, I can hear it and I can see my chest bouncing up and down. I need to reassure myself that Patton is only doing this as a friendly action to attempt to help calm my thoughts. There is no other way around his actions at all so I give up in considering anything more about the matter. Meanwhile, I will change into this dog onesie.
After all, I do need to take a break to be able to work at my best and most efficiently.
Back to Patton's POV
I sit in the den I made for Logan and I. The fairy lights are on and the main lights are off with Big Hero 6 ready to play. I even baked some cookies and brownies with some popcorn packets if Logan wants more of a choice. All to make sure he's comfortable and his mind is at ease at least for a few hours. I even picked out two pillows. One for me, a light blue heart on it and his has his dark blue brain, both with black glasses on. Roman made them for everyone earlier today. I hold it close to me, I have plenty of pillows on the floor so I don't need this one on the floor too. We even have stuffed toys and blankets! I've tried really hard to make this as comfortable as possible for him.
The door opens and closes, I look up from staring at the ground, curling my lips into a smile when Logan walks in, wearing the onesie I gave him.
"I told you I made a den!" I exclaim, throwing my arms up in the air with a short laugh. "So, what do you think?" I ask when he doesn't say anything. He smiles my way, walking in and sitting beside me, and yet he avoids my eye contact, he's staring at the floor, picking up the pillow Roman made for him.
"Why are you doing this Patton?" He questions.
"Why do you think?" I chuckle.
"Patton." Why does he need an answer so badly?
"Because I care about you Logie!" I exclaim with a grin. "And you needed a break and I'm very good at making sure people relax even if I do say so myself. Why? Are you okay?" Why is he doubting me or did he not understand why I did this? But Logan doesn't say anything else to me for a few moments more, like he's debating and hesitating on something inside his mind. "Logan you're worrying me."
He lets his eyes dart to mine and I see them shine with I think tears in them.
"L-Logan-"
"Well, thank you then, Patton." His voice shakes but I know he tries his best not to let it happen. He doesn't want to show any emotions or be vulnerable, I'm guessing. I've never seen Logan cry or at least be upset, it makes my heart plunge inside my chest, I hate the way his lips quiver, the way his voice shakes under the weight of the world on his shoulders. After a few seconds, I scoot closer to him, dropping my pillow, to pull him closer to me, trapping him into a tight and warm embrace, welcoming his head onto my chest, one of my hands on his head and the other on his back while his shoulders start to shake with a few silent cries.
"It's okay, Logie. It's okay, I promise. It's okay to feel things even you!" I tell him softly, rubbing circles on his back.
"I am not meant to feel such things." He whispers to me and I squeeze him a little tighter.
"Everyone has feelings, Lo. Even you and that's completely fine. I'm here for you!" He sucks in a gulp of air, calming himself down his breathing eventually returning to normal, he wraps his arms around me now and it makes my heart skip beats, I love the feeling and I smile to myself, resting my head on his, rocking us gently. "Stay with me tonight." I suggest, wanting him to stay in my arms.
"If you allow me to, I will gladly accept." He tells me.
"We can watch Big Hero 6 on repeat, have midnight snacks, we can do whatever you want. Just stay with me, and I can promise you, you're safe."
