yesterday's encounter still stayed fresh in johnny's mind. it was still very terrifying, to say the least. in fact, he planned on avoiding going outside altogether for the time being. he has enough food in the fridge and cabinets anyways.

but his usual day never changed — watching the tv, playing games on his shitty laptop, and looking at social media on his phone.

johnny turned on the tv, switching to his favourite channel to continue watching that show he had been watching before. now, hannah found out the truth and was calling the police on michael.

"as she should," johnny said with a grin, easing back into his couch comfortably. he hoped he doesn't get bothered for the rest of the day and he can be alone, like he wants.

the time went by fast, the clock (he honestly doesn't know why he has an analog clock) ticked softly from it's place above his bed.

johnny was pretty much on the last episode of the first season, only twenty minutes left in the hour long special.

"fuck michael, honestly hannah!" he said before grabbing a handful of popcorn. "he's a shitty person. why care about him so much when leia is right there?"

god, she was getting on johnny's nerves. every single episode, just when he was starting to like her, she goes back to making him hate her. was that intentional?

"huh?" johnny said, his anger replaced by confusion hearing a loud crash from outside. after a brief moment, he shrugged, knowing it had nothing to do with him. but it was followed by a scream from someone.

another loud crash followed suit as well.

that was obviously worrying. perhaps it was someone dropping things and scaring someone to joke around, johnny thought, pausing the tv so he could hear better.

but yesterday, that monster was outside his room, trying her best to break in so she could attack him or something. there was another scream and a roar came afterwards, hurting johnny's ears.

someone outside needed help. not sure what else to use, johnny sprung up from the couch, grabbing the knife he used the day before from the sink.

"don't die," he told himself quietly before turning on his heel and leaving the small kitchen, using a free hand to open the door to the corridor.

he took one step forward, hearing a crunching noise beneath his foot. he let out a gasp, lifting up his foot to see what it was — just a torn bag of ramyeon, the dry noodles now crushed into smaller pieces.

"oh," he said quietly, giving himself a mental slap. nothing to worry about. johnny's head perked up again; it was awfully quiet. well, it was until he heard something crash into something again.

heading in the direction it came from, he went right, his eyes wide with fear as he held out the knife in front of him, the silver blade gleaming in the lights.

more screams and the sound of someone running into something and that said thing also crashing onto the floor of the corridor.

"help me!" they — a male — said, his voice full of pleading. he was obviously terrified and breathless, as if he had been running from what had been chasing him. johnny turned the corner, finally reaching them.

someone around his age had fallen to the ground, his head turned towards what was behind him, which was a huge monster. at least, that's what johnny assumed because it sure wasn't human.

it was bald and had huge, long muscled arms. its eyes were blazing yellow and its dirty teeth bared. it was so much bigger compared to johnny and he knew he couldn't take it on.
