My mind was literally so blank when I wrote like half of this, so I asked some friends for help on part of it. I'm literally like, "I'm dum, pls help😂."(The day after the Orpheum)
Flynn's POV
I texted Julie '911' and told her that there was some family drama, but I really just wanted to know what was going on with her and Luke. She still hasn't told him she likes him and I'm wondering if she ever will.
Shortly after, I heard the doorbell and went to open the door.
"Hey! What's wrong?" Julie asked, coming inside.
"Well, nothing really. I just had to talk to you about what's going on with you and lover boy." Julie looked at me with her annoyed and disappointed face. It was honestly scary how she could do that so easily.
"You used family drama to talk about a boy."
"A cute boy." Julie rolled her eyes as I said that, but I knew I was right based off the smile that crept onto her face.
"Fine, yes you're right. Why do you want to talk about that though? It's not like anything's gonna happen." Even though I've been telling Julie to be careful with this, I knew how much she liked him. It hurt me to see her so empty about this. At the same time though, it also made me kind of mad.
"Julie, are you blind? Luke clearly likes you a lot too, and you need to wake up and realize that! Have you seen the way he looks at you when you perform?"
"What are you talking about? Luke loves to make music. That's it. He's passionate about the songs we write, and wants to make them perfect. Besides, He wouldn't like me, we're just friends."
"COME ON! How do you not see the way he looks at you?"
"How does he look at me?" Julie asked sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"Like he's completely in love with you. If it was just about music before, it isn't anymore! Girl, you met his parents!"
"He wanted a good relationship with his mom, that's all." Suddenly, I had an idea. I had a feeling there was more to the conversation where Luke supposedly said it was only to have a better relationship with his mom.
"When did he tell you that?"
"The same night you came over, it was when I found out the guys were getting those jolts. Why?"
"Replay the whole conversation to me, and don't leave out a single detail." I answered, sitting up straighter. I swear, sometimes I have to do everything.
"Fine, I was walking home and when I looked up, I saw Luke leaning against a beam on the front porch. I apologized to him for overstepping. When I got onto the porch, Luke walked up to me, told me it was fine, and he had to leave because it was too hard; I cut him off and told him that he didn't have to say anything. He told me he did, that one of the few regrets he had in his life was running out on his mom and he was grateful for my help."
"I told him I wanted to thank him for helping me feel more connected to my mom, so I helped him with his. He held out his hand for me to take, but because we weren't able to touch, my hand just went through his. He told me 'this is an interesting little relationship we have.'" I squealed and got excited having found out that I was right. I mean, I already knew that, but that's besides the point.
"I KNEW IT! That's practically like saying 'I like you,' how did you not get that?"
"It was a little hard to focus on that, given that he was also telling me about how he was never gonna see me again." Julie said, once again with sarcasm.
