Prologue

                                    

                                          
 MONIQUE
                          
          Monique is 30-year old woman, who has had to sacrifice her own dreams for the sake of her younger siblings. She was 20 years old when she had to step into the role of provider, after  their parents died in a car accident and left them not only as orphans, but in debt. In order to pay  creditors, the siblings were left with no choice but to sell their home and rent a small, and quite derelict apartment in one of the most run-down skid row like neighborhoods in Makati. The landlord took pity on the four siblings and wanted to give them a leg up. When she learned that Monique was gifted with culinary skills,  she offered her another unit rent-free,  so she could put up a makeshift kitchen and eatery. Given the location, business was not as good as it could be, seeing as how her customers were also from low-income households, but it did well enough for her to be able to provide on a day to day basis, and give her siblings a good education. Now, 10-years hence, they have all graduated, moved out and gone in pursuit of their dreams.  Monique on the other hand, chose to stay in the apartment so she could tend to her business. She has also decided to go to university to pursue  Culinary Arts, hoping that one day, she could be an Executive Chef. 
                          
ROCKY
            Rocky lives only for himself and in the now. A hesitant 20-year old heir to the biggest hotel  and restaurant chain in the country,  Rocky is quite typically the source of his parents' frustration. He is extraordinarily gifted, both mentally and physically. An athlete who is top of his class, it is not surprising that he is seen as an absolute catch, often farmed out by his parents to families in their social circles with one objective, to find him the perfect wife. However, behind the carefree, devil may care, man about town facade, lies a boy trapped, forced to pursue his parents' dream, instead of his own. 
                          
 This is a story of two people, coming from different worlds, but alike in passion, and how they collided in the most memorable way.
