When I wake up in the middle of the night, the pillow is on the floor and the sheets twisted around my neck as if I've been trying to strangle myself in my sleep.
                          
I really need to get out of here...

Let me tell you something; I have a terrible family. I could blab all day about why has occurred over the years, I really could.
                          
My mom was murdered by my father I front of my face and he was recording it too which was worse.
'Living is for believing.' 
My mom would always say, and I truly believe it; every word.
                          
Okay, my name is Mason Mendes. 
I have a very abusive family except for my older brother, Shawn. He is the best thing that has ever happened. 
He moved away before all of this happened and now her regrets it. I haven't seen him in years (3 years). Shawn was my smile, he was my heart and soul, my best friend, and the only one that was there for me. 
                          
Since I am 14, I am planning on moving back to my home town, Toronto. My family moved because my father didn't want to see my brother again. Shawn despises my father, he was there along with me to watch the murder of my mother. 
                          
Shawn is 16 and is living in Toronto still and I really want to see him, badly. I have $4,000 saved up from birthday money, working, and selling cookies. That took me 4 years to save up and I am planning on sneaking out and going to catch a early morning flight.
