Hardin:
After I left Tessa at her locker I drove straight to Vance's publishing building and straight to his office. Vance was marching about his office on the phone ranting about something. He wasn't totally clear in the text what had happened, he just said emergency help needed if possible. After he came off the phone then told me there was some issue with a book getting published and that we only had a few hours to sort it out so we could send it out for publishing. I managed to sort the issue within a couple of hours even with Vance panicking around me during the process. After that emergency I ended up staying for a little bit to finish a book I had to edit. Once I finished the book I checked in with Vance to make sure everything was fine and to talk to him about something else then I headed home.
When I got home I was surprised that Tessa wasn't home before me. I ended up going for a shower and thought she'd be home after that. 
But nope I got out of the shower and no sign of her. I called her a couple of times and she didn't answer which isn't like her. So I decided I would order some food for us and she would be home for dinner. 
Yet again no so I called her again and texted her but got no answer. By this point I was worried about what might have happened to her but my main guess was she was probably with Molly and Landon studying. I would have texted them but I don't want Tessa to think anything bad of me by calling her friends to see where she was incase that looked controlling or something. 
After dinner arrived I waited a bit to see if she would appear but she didn't so I just ate my food as I was quite hungry. I finished my food and then I went off to do some of my school work I had to catch up on. 
I got bored of that after like half an hour so I went off into the living room to see if there was something on the tv to watch. Whilst watching the tv I got more annoyed and concerned for Tess. I'm annoyed that she won't just answer her phone to me but I'm also concerned that she is so late getting back home. 
20 minutes later and I hear her entering the apartment, I hear her put her things down and then she comes into the living room to see me sitting on the sofa. 
"Umm hi Hardin" she says looking confused 
"Hi that's all you have to say" I say annoyed 
"Yes?" she says questioning my response 
"Tess its been fucking hours since you uni finished for the day and you walk in here like nothing's wrong" 
"I'm sorry Hardin" 
"That's all you have to say. I've been worried here Tessa, you haven't answered any of my calls or texts and all you say is sorry" I say angrily 
"I'm really sorry hardin, I should have answered my phone but I had it on silence whilst I was studying with Landon and when I was eating" 
"I guessed you'd be studying but I didn't think the coffee place would be open this late" I say more calmly 
"That's because I wasn't at the coffee place I was at Landon's house" 
"You were at his house, Ken's house!?" I say with gritted teeth 
"Yes his house funnily that's where Landon lives" she says like this is all funny
