Chapter 25: Where's Denki?

                                    

                                          
I haven't been able to get a hold of Denki for days now and it was starting to concern me. He always answers his phone so quickly and it's never dead, since he charges his phone himself. 
                          
I went to my phone and called the only number I had of the others, Kiri. He had given it to me for emergency and since he lived close by to the shop he would be here the fastest if anything was wrong.
                          
As I waited with the ringing in my ear I hear it cut off and then Kiri's voice answered. 
                          
"Have you seen Denki?" I asked instantly, sitting up from my bed. "He won't answer me and the last time I saw him he was so angry and-" I knew my voice was shaking. "And I would go check him at his apartment but I don't know what number he's in I only know where the building is -" 
                          
"Hey! Hey it's alright!" Kiri said briefly sounding panic but he took a deep breath. "Jiro knows where the apartment is, I'll send her to go check it out alright? For now just take a deep breath and tell me what happened." Kiri said calmly. I took a deep, like he told me, and told him what had happened three days ago. 
                          
I explained about Monoma coming back trying to win my affection over again. I told him about Denki walking in and the words that seemed to trigger such a violent reaction out of him. 
                          
"And no response from him at all?" Bakuogo asked, who Kiri had let listen in since he demanded he hear what was going on. "That would explain why I haven't gotten a daily meme from him in a few days." I heard him say. 
                          
"You haven't heard from him either?!" I said and I felt my panic rising. 
                          
"Alright, bro," Kiri said. "Your panicking! I'm going to send you our address and just come on over here, I'll texted Todoroki too. He might have the most clue as to knowing what's going on with him." 
                          
"You don't know? Denki's never mentioned anything that sounds remotely like what's going on?" 
                          
"No, he's always seemed so happy. Never violent like you said. We can try and get to the bottom of things when you get here, okay?" I agreed and we hung up the phone. 

                          
I quickly got up and passed my dads on the way out, "I'm going out." I said and just left quickly. They might be mad at me later for leaving without any details so late at night but I don't care. I need to know where Denki went or if he's even okay. 
                          
Once I made it over to the apartment the door opened to Bakuogo. "You look like shit, more then usual." He stated. I felt my hand shaking beside me and he pulled me in. Kiri was on the phone, waiting and then redialing. 
                          
"He not picking up for me either." He said before turning but when he did he saw me. "But that doesn't mean anything, he could just be ignoring the world." 
                          
"I've never seen him that way before Kiri." I started to explain. "He was the complete opposite than what I've seen before! It was like he had the same rage as Bakuogo!" I said and both Kiri and Bakuogo got concerned at the analogy. 
                          
"We've never seen him that way either. What this Monoma guy said to Denki can't be good. Especially if he's going to start a fight like that so fast." Kiri said and sat on the couch. 
                          
"Denki doesn't have a single rage bone in his body. I've barely seen him serious!" Bakuogo said. 
                          
"Do you guys not know anything about what type of life he had before meeting him?" I asked and I watched Kiri grow smaller in size. 
                          
"He's never talked about his life before. I didn't bother to ask either because there didn't seem to be a need. He never gave off that feeling that something was wrong." He said and I felt my eye twitch. 
                          
"That's because he's really good at lying. I've seen it, I woke him up from a nightmare before it started one night and when I asked him if it was a nightmare he lied so well, if I hadn't known it was a lie there's no other way I could have known." I said thinking about Denki and what he could have possibly been holding onto for so long without telling anyone. 
                          
"What's the emergence?" Todoroki asked at he walked into the apartment looking concerned for everyone in the room.
                          
"It's Denki," I said and he seemed to tense up a bit. "He saw Monoma and got so angry and then he just left. I haven't been able to get a hold of him for three days, no one has." I said and I tapped my foot on the ground. 
                          
"Shit!" He mumbled. "Have you been to his apartment?" 
                          
"Jiro is over there now, she says she not getting an answer." Kiri said looking down at a message. 
                          
"Okay," he said and looked me right in the eyes. "You have to tell me exactly what made him angry." He said. 
                          
"He was already mad seeing Monoma and was sparking everywhere and when he actually shocked me Monoma said, 'just like always'." 
                          
"Damn it!" He ran a hand through his hair as he sighed. "Why can't Monoma just keep his mouth shut for once in his god damn life." Todoroki said and began to walk out of the apartment. 
                          
"Where are you going?" Bakuogo asked. 
                          
"There's a few places Denki will be. I'm going to find him and bring him back." Before he could walk out I grabbed his wrist and pulled him to look at me as I glared at him. 
                          
"Not until you tell me why this happened!"I demanded. His duel color eyes landed on me and he let out a sigh. 
                          
"It's not my secret to tell, he didn't even tell me I found out. Let me find him and talk to him. I'll bring him back to you, I promise." He said. I looked into his eyes and searched for something, maybe I was looking for some kind of reason to not let him go but there was nothing there. I sighed and let go of his arm, looking down at the ground. And then Todoroki left. 
                          
"You can stay here till they come back." Kiri said, placing a hand on my shoulder. I shoved my hands in my pocket as my mind went over everything that happened again. 
                          
"I have to take care of something." I said and walked myself out of the apartment, going somewhere I told myself I would never go back to.

Chapter 26: On The Edge Of A Roof
                          
"Everyone worried about you." I said carefully and he turned away from me. Leaning onto the wall with his head on his folded arms. 
                          
"I know," he said but didn't seem to care all that much. 
                          
"Shinsou's the worst," I said and I watched him slid down onto his knees like he was hiding. 
                          
"H-He hates me doesn't he?" His voice shook a bit but he didn't look up at me. I went down on my knees as well and placed a hand on his shoulder. 
                          
"Why would he hate you?" 
                          
"Because he clearly knows who Monoma is and the fact that I know him is a dead giveaway of what type of person I used to be-" 
                          
"The things you did are not who you are."
                          
Dang! Wow!! Shits you down!!!
                          
Who's excited for some drama!! We all are!! I know!!! 
                          
Well, I hope you enjoyed and be prepared to get hit by some feels because it's coming, and it's gonna hit hard because I had some VERY sad songs playing while writing this part and I feel like the sad music empowered my 'depressing story' writing skills!! (If that makes since!)
