Sang
My ears were ringing, mouth was dry, and my eyes were blurry. I sucked in a sharp breath only to inhale a thick cloud of hot smoke. My cough was harsh and I tried to move so I could relieve my lungs to breathe better. I was on my back and scraps if the ceiling was on me. I groaned out, my leg was stinging.
"Luke! Phil! Henry! Chess!-" I tried to yell out. I called out there names again but didn't hear anything, my voice sound scratchy, so it probably want even that loud. I looked around to see if anyone was near.
Only the hole form the top floor showing, small fires around me, and smoke filling the air. I tossed the rubble off me, some heavy than the others. When I got to sit up, I finally saw the damage on my left leg.
"Ahh!!" I grunted out. Seeing my flesh hurt more than feeling it. There was a large gash on my calf, and I bet if I lifted the skin I would see bone. I needed to stop the bleeding. "Ahh" I cried out trying to move.
Where was Luke? The guys?! Everyone?! Are they okay? I couldn't think the worse, I pushed my body towards the nurses station, hoping I could find something to wrap my leg. I heard shuffling coming closer that made me panic. Volto. He was coming for me. I grabbed a sharp piece of metal that was near me, hid by the desk and took a deep slow quiet breath.
Footsteps were heard, walking slowly, crunches of glass heard beneath thier shoes. Colder....cold... Cool...warm...warmer...hot! I pushed myself up with all I had and swing the metal, ready to slice Voltos throat. Only I stop immediately at the mismatched eyes before me.
Marc.
I let go of my weapon and sighed out loud, relief pouring through me. "Sang?!" His voice was the good feeling you get when you smell coffee in the morning. A sob escaped and I slide back down the desk, my leg giving out. He rushed forward catching me before my butt turned flat.
I hugged him like he was my lifeline, only to see Nathan right behind him. "Nathan." I whispered like a quiet prayer. They were here.
"Peanut." He came forth and we did a weird hug.
"Oh, coffee bean. Are you okay? Your leg!" Marc assessed me real quick and I wave him off.
"I'm okay, it's just my leg." I said. Nathan rushed around and brought back stuff to wrap it.
"Where, where's everyone else? They okay? Did you see Luke? He was in front with Phil when the floor collapsed. Did you see Phil? Henry? Cheese and the guys?" I rushed out while Nathan fixed my leg. I kept groaning in pain.
"No, not yet. Everyone was already in the meeting room. Me and Nathan were still on our way up when the bombs went off. What the fuck is going on? Where's the kids?" Marc said letting me hold his hand as Nathan pour alcohol on it. Oooouch!!!
I probably wasn't going to get another chance right now to explain. And I needed them to know, we needed to stop Volto...like today! "Volto. He's
...you won't believe me-" I cut myself off groaning when Nathan pushed my skin together placing gauze on it.Why would they believe me? They didn't before. The past seemed to have ran strait in the front of my mind. The didn't believe me. They didn't give me a chance. Why would they now? Fuck! What the hell do I do? What do I say?
"Listen.... Volto, he's. He looks like North. I mean identical. He's...he's North's older brother." The guys froze and shock was slashed across their faces. "I wish I could explain more, but we need to find the others. We need to warn them."
"Oh shit!" Marc said, I cursed out myself because Nathan accidentally slipped his hand for what he was doing and hit my injured leg.
"I'm sorry Peanut. Let me get this done. Then we'll find the others. This is...shit." I nodded my agreement. Marc said he saw crutches just down the hall and ran to get them.
