"The next role I have to play is Queen? Fine! Leave it to me!" -H. Reiss
"HOW dare you hurt an innocent girl like Alice!" Jonah growled. "Now, Kyle!" he shouted.
You know Kyle isn't an expert if it's about weapons and fights. However, Kyle proved that he was also part of the army. From his horse, Kyle threw three scalpels at once and managed to hit the disciple's three vital points, knocking him unconscious.
"Alice, are you okay?! Did you hurt?!" Jonah asked in a panic tone. He studied you, looking to see if you were injured or not. However, when Jonah saw the cut on your cheek, he frowned. He immediately hugged you with worry. You can even feel the warmth of him. "At least you're fine now."
Not long after, Jonah let you go. "J-Jonah, how about K-King Lancelot-"
"Stop worrying about King Lancelot, Alice!" Jonah snapped. He gripped your shoulders very firmly. The amber eyes of his stared deeply at your eyes. "King Lancelot would be fine. Trust me!"
"But, Amon will-"
"And because of that!" Jonah cut you. "You are our last hope! If something happens to you, the war between the Red Army and Black Black will break out again!"
"I-I doubt that, Jonah," you muttered. "Will you guys just be at peace when you doubt my position as a symbol of peace in Cradle? Will people of Cradle believe that I am the symbol of peace by only knowing my name and I just keep quiet when that peace is disturbed?"
From the distance, Kyle stared at you, who was stubbornly eager to advance to the front line with Lancelot and Edgar.
"Fenrir right," Kyle whispered to himself. "You adapted quickly here and turned into a strong woman. I thought you were the woman we needed to protect because of how weak you are. But that magic called love that makes you throw your life away actually creates a very powerful weapon. You may be the most powerful being in the Cradle right now."
"Alice, I understand what you mean. You can prove it another way! Do you know how worried we were if you got hurt? We can't involve you to this!" Jonah was still adamant about persuading you to quit.
"Jonah, please!" you begged. "This is a task I must complete!"
"Alice-"
"Let her go, Jonah!" someone cutted Jonah's words
"Zero, what the-" Jonah stopped again when he realized why Zero came back. Moreover, Zero returned alone. Dirty blood spots were visible on his white clothes.
Zero understood what was implied in Jonah's, Kyle's and your eyes. They guess what happened to him and his unit. "Kyle, sixty percent of my soldiers were injured in the fight against the magic disciples. My soldiers can practice the first aid, but I'm afraid they can't do more than that if it's the major injures. Can I ask for your help?" Zero asked as he looked at Kyle.
"Where are they now?" Kyle rushed, wanting to do the check up as soon as possible.
"Zero, was the fight that terrible?" Jonah asked.
Zero just nodded. However, he looked directly at you.
"I know what you guys are worried about. Even if we insist on restraining [Y/N] and forbidding her from advancing, there's no way we can stop her. White Queen, King Lancelot as King of Hearts, and King Ray as King of Spades may stand as leaders in Cradle. But the one who will protect freedom and peace in this country is [Y/N]," Zero explained. "How can we stop a little girl who manages to control magic of love and subdue the two leaders of Land of Magic at once?"
Everyone was immediately shocked when Zero said such profound things. "Moreover, Amon is already on the border bridge. He intends to blow up the bridge with his magic," in closing, Zero gave his report to Jonah.
"Zero, take me to the border! We use the fastest way!"
