"Darlin'"
You shake your head fighting the tears, "No.. no. You're not really here." You barely whisper the words. You had seen him. His face. His voice. After his death, you could never really move on.
You heard his voice. You could smell him. You could see him. And each time it hurt. Oh it hurt you so much.
"Ya need to move on from me." He mutters at first before clearing his throat. "I need ya to be happy again, and holding on to me ain't doin' that."
"How can I move on from someone who was my happiness?" A tear falls down your cheek.
He hugs you. A hug you realistically couldn't feel but for some reason you could. His warm embrace. You remembered it so well. That musky smell. It was as if the past events had never happened.
But as you looked up to kiss him, he was gone.
He was never really there.
