I finally found L's room after walking into closets, a bathroom, and some other dark rooms, I find one that looks to be L's room, considering my bag was placed on the neatly made bed. Everything looked brand new and unused in here. It made me wonder how much sleep L really did get. The dark bags under his eyes may be a given. I closed the door behind me and decided to change into my pajamas. I unbuttoned my pants and was about to take off my shirt when I let go of the bottom of my shirt and realized L had cameras set up in every room. I turned around and looked in the corners of his room to see nothing but empty ceiling. I raised an eyebrow. I walked over to a the TV and examined it. Nothing. I checked the lamps and plants. Nothing. "Alright, all clear." I thought to myself and stripped away my clothes letting them pool ankles and feet as I started redressing myself in my pajamas. I picked up the clothes on the floor and folded them nicely, zipping them away in my bag. I set the bag on the floor by a night stand. I looked in the mirror that was hanging over a dresser and tied my hair into a high pony tail. "Alright back to work." I thought to myself and made my way to the door.

I walked down the stairs and quietly returned back to my chair to finish stacking the papers. I heard wheels pushing against a the floor and a figured appeared to my right. I slowly looked over to see light resting his chin in the palm of his hand. "Hey." He said looking down at the papers an then back at me. "Hi." I manage to say and looked back at the papers. He just watched me. "Yes?" I asked flipping the stabled paper toe next side. I didn't have to look at him to feel him starring a hole in my face. "Need help?" He asked scouting closer. I swallowed hard. This was uncontrollable. "No, I'm alright, thanks you." I said avoiding looking up at him. He took the papers from my hand and I shot my attention to him. I watched as he read it. "Can I have that back." I hugged. "I didn't hear a please." He smirked. I crossed my arms. "Please." I barely let the word escape my lips. He kept the smirk as he slowly passed me the paper, to which I yanked out f his grasp. He rose his hands in surrender. I continued matching up evidence and shuffling the papers by date. Suddenly a hand reached in front of me and moved a long black strand of hair that I was unaware that was hanging int not of my face. He brought it back and tucked it behind my ear. I froze. "You're very determined aren't you?" He said, it seemed to be low enough almost as if it was meant for only me to hear. I cleared my throat and tapped the stack of papers on the desk. "Yes, very." I tried not to let him be a distraction. "That's good." He said again in a low voice once again meant for only me to hear. I didn't answer. I looked at him through the corner of my eye. He chuckled darkly and stood up. I turned my head slightly to see what he was up to. "Well, talk to you later." He said and walked up towards the stairs. "Goodnight, Ryuzaki, goodnight Y/n." Light said without turning around to face us as he walked up the stairs. I watched until he almost disappear at the top. He turned around a bit to face me, almost as if he knew I was going to be looking up at him. He waved a little and a smirk grew on his face. I glared a bit at him. I had more of a questioning and confused expression. With that he disappeared up stairs. I ran a hand through my hair only to have my bangs fall back into my forehead once again. I leaned back against the chair. "What just happened?" I thought to myself. "Was light flirting with me?" I thought. I frowned considering he had a girlfriend and he was getting pretty friendly with me. I almost wanted to go up there and give him a piece of my mind, but I chose not to make a big scene about it. The more I thought about it, it seemed like Light was meaning to distract me...but why? Perhaps Ryuzaki was right on his suspensions.

I finished stacking the last of the papers right as I yawned. "You may sleep if you wish." I heard L's husky voice. I looked up and saw him standing over me. I smiled a bit. "I'm alright." I declined sleep. We stayed looking at each other for a second more before he turned to walk away. He climbed back on his chair and squatted down. Wateri walked in, rolling a little cart of sweets. I stretched my neck a bit to see what was on display. I figured L noticed considering he whispered something to Wateri. "Would you care for one?" Wateri asked as soon as L leaned away and back into his chair. I smiled shyly. "Yes please, if you don't mind." I say standing up and approaching the cart. I looked amongst plates of cookies, candies, cakes, donuts, and fruit. I thought a bit of what intrigued me most. Finally I picked up a bowl of strawberries. "Thank you." I smiled at Wateri who nodded once before leaving the room. "Is it alright if I sit here?" I asked putting a hand on the chair by L. "Mmmm? Yes of course." L says with a mouth full of cake. I pull out the chair and happily start eating the strawberries one by one. I glance at L who seems to be looking between me and the cake. I eat another strawberry. I notice blank sheets of paper laying around on the table. "May I have one of these?" I ask looking at him. He looks over and licks his fingers. He nods and I place one closer to me, I then pick up a pencil and randomly sketch. I can see L looming over me to see what I was doing. I would look up at him and he would snap his attention away as if he wasn't trying to snick a peek or my actions. In return I would only hide the paper more with my arm in the way. L seemed to have turn this into a little game. He would look over and just as I would look up he would smile and take a bit of his cake.
