The six Queens took a breath and stepped on the stage. Grace, Ashley, Millie, Aimie, Natalie, and Vicki. They waited as the audience cheered.
"Divorced," Grace said.
"Beheaded," Millie stated.
"Died," Natalie announced.
Ashley felt shaken to her core, but she knew she could do it.
"Divorced," Vicki said, a little too loudly, making Ashley smile.
"Beheaded," Aimie sighed.
"Survived," Ashley reported. The audience went wild the moment they heard a new voice.
They all got into position as Grace spoke.
"And tonight, London, we are!"
Ashley held her mic up to her face as the lights went up and the curtain fell.
"LI~~IVE!"
Ashley tried as hard as she could to remain on cue, and for the most part, she did. She felt good because of it, and her good feeling made her excel.
"Everybody knows that we used to be six wi~i~ives! But now we're Ex-Wives."
Ashley saw the crowd and they cheered.
During the show, Ashley simply reminded herself that she had rehearsed this musical a billion times.
She said her lines on cue, with the best comedic timing.
"The winning contestant was the most protEStant!"
The other Queens turned to her as the audience laughed. Ashley smiled awkwardly.
"PrOtestant."
As the musical continued, Ashley felt so happy. The good feeling in her chest made the performance fun. She could barely contain her excitement, and she worked her best to keep the audience happy.
She had so much fun that she had pretty much forgotten she was in an actual performance. But she still enjoyed it.
As the show went through each queen, Ashley saw the others give her smiles and nods, signs of encouragement to her.
In "No Way," Ashley danced as Grace confidently proclaimed her rightful place.
At "Don't Lose Ur Head," Ashley went crazy as Millie did, yelling at Henry for not giving her attention.
"Heart of Stone" was hard for Ashley to perform, as Natalie captured the feeling of a mother leaving her son.
"Get Down" was a fun song since Vicki made it funny, and Ashley smiled at the climax.
During "All You Wanna Do," Ashley held her gaze away from Aimie as much as possible, so she wouldn't end up sobbing.
After the Queen Fight before "I Don't Need Your Love," she knew every word, every emotion, every sign she need to convey.
