"She used Bakugo as an example of a strong willed person but he responded saying that Iida had a stronger will than he does... which set (Y/n) off. I think she figured out quickly that something must've happened that she doesn't know about and started demanding we tell her. Bakugo told her it's bad and she was on the verge of tears asking if it was so bad that Iida wouldn't tell her... and he said it was." She finishes, staring at the ground feeling disappointed with herself that she couldn't protect her friends feelings even if it meant lying to her.
"She doesn't know what happened in Hosu?" Aizawa questions somewhat annoyed that Iida hid it from her.
"Yes, I didn't want her to know, and I still would prefer if she doesn't know." Iida says nervously.
"She'll never speak to you again if you don't tell her." Mina states confidently shocking both Iida and Aizawa.
"I've already told her that I will tell her soon. I just need time." Iida responds.
"Iida we both know that she has little patience and leaving her alone with her thoughts isn't an amazing idea. (Y/n) likes and trusts you, so having something shake the image of you she's built up probably hurt her. She's expressed how she never likes being by herself when she's distressed because it makes her feel even more alone and upset. You know she gets panic attacks right?" Mina explains and lectures him also.
"Panic attacks?" Aizawa asks his eyebrows raised high in concern for her but isn't sure what to do.
"Yeah, she said she gets panic attacks whenever her parents call or when she's really anxious and has to have someone calm her down." Mina explains again feeling even more concerned for her friend as the seconds pass by.
"Well I should call Hawks along with Nemuri I guess then..." Aizawa mutters under his breath as he scrolls through his contacts. Iida bites his lip wondering if he even has the right to say what he's thinking currently.
"Sir, you shouldn't contact Midnight." Iida states and Aizawa narrows his eyes at him.
"And why is that?" He asks suspicious to why Iida even would suggest such a thing.
"(Y/n) is afraid of her. Her fear of thunder stems from Midnight, and her parents. Even though I caused her to be worried and upset right now... I cannot let someone else who caused her pain to be the one to comfort her." Iida explains and Mina stands quietly hearing the news about her female teacher being not that great.
Aizawa is surprised to hear something so awful about his longtime friend but understands that it's only one side of the story but will respect what (Y/n) has said to Iida.
"I will only contact Hawks then. You two should head to get ready too, if you're late tell Present Mic I said it was okay." Aizawa says before turning around and walking away holding the phone up to his ear to dial the feathered pro-hero.
The two worried students nod and leave. Iida feeling the guilt weigh heavier and heavier every breath he takes.
'I wonder if she really likes me or not... but if she did, I doubt she does now...' Iida internally mopes as he slowly buttons up his white uniform shirt, staring at the reflection in the mirror.
The words "I want to know you" run through Iida's head. He wonders if he hasn't really opened himself up to her enough. He wants her to know him, but Hosu is a hard thing to talk about and he doesn't want to scare her.
~
Hawks arrives after only ten minutes and burst through the front doors of the 2-A alliance. Hawks in a way views (Y/n) as a younger sibling, he never planned on telling her so much about him, but when she finally opened up about her being very close to being sold to the government like he was... he felt a need to be by her side.
