Through the gaps between the curtain, the grey clouds loomed against the bright blue sky. Seems that it would be raining today.

Alina nuzzled her head into Rosalie's shoulder who was watching TV. Alina glanced up to see a TV show that didn't make any sense to her.

"What is that?" Alina questioned.

"A TV show." Rosalie answered vaguely.

"Yes that much I saw."

"It's a marvel one."

"Marvel?" Alina raised her eyebrows.

"I'll explain later, shut up and let me watch." Rosalie waved her hand.

Alina just nodded and stared up at Rosalie who was watching the show with huge concentration.

"Don't mess with that woman's marvel shit!" Emmet bellowed from somewhere within the house warning Alina.

"You don't have to shout dipshit we all have super hearing." Rosalie yelled back.

Alina smirked as she heard the smack Emmet received from Esme hitting the back of his head. She could quite literally imagine it happening since she'd seen it happen about a million times.

"Language Rosalie!" Esme spoke.

Rosalie rolled her eyes but still muttered an apology, making Alina laugh slight but then she shut up after the glare Rosalie gave her.

Relaxing for the first time in a long time, Alina knew she didn't have much time left. But how would she go about this? Did she really have to do it?

Caius' words filled her mind again and she tightened her hand round Rosalie's who just hummed in response.

Alina clenched her eyelids closed and grimaced, how much longer could she keep this up. Waves of despair rolled out of her and the feeling of dream was overwhelming her.

Her tongue ran against the inside of her cheek and she wanted the scream her head off. Nothing was fair. But that was how she'd lived her whole world.

Clenching her eyebrows together and finally gaining the strength to get up, Alina removed herself from Rosalie's embrace and grabbed her backpack.

Rosalie looked at her girlfriend before going back to the TV and ignoring Alina.

The brunette threw into the bag a few t-shirts and trousers, deciding now was the best time. Rosalie sat up and raised an eyebrow. Alina bit the inside of her lip and breathed a heavy breath out.

"What are you doing?" Rosalie had caved and was speaking.

"You'll see." She replied. Alina wanted to scream out at the world for being so horrible to her but she just couldn't bear to leave her brother to die.

After throwing her essentials into the bag, she swung it round her torso and motioned for Rosalie to follow her outside.

"Where are we going?" Rosalie's eyebrows creased together.

Alina took them both far into the wood until she knew the rest of the vampires from Rosalie's family couldn't hear them. Technically they were Alina's family too but she couldn't think that or it'd be much harder to leave.

God this is like how Edward left Bella. Fuck. Oh well guess it's a memorable way to do it.

Alina shook her head to get rid of her silly thoughts and began to get serious.

"I'm going to help my brother." Alina stated. Rosalie raised an eyebrow and stared at Alina's face. Alina looked away from the blonde and stared at the floor.
