(smut warning)
The next four days go by in a flash. I spend the rest of the week finishing up my classes for the semester and practically destroying my entire room to find acceptable attire for the holidays.
Up until today, I haven't been nervous to meet Draco's parents, but as soon as I woke up this morning everything hits me; I will be meeting Draco Malfoy's parents. I will be meeting Narcissa Malfoy- Lucius Malfoy.
I am most nervous to meet Lucius. I've seen him around in Hogsmeade with Draco and he is nothing if not intimidating. Not to mention they are all filthy rich, so I know I have to look the part. I have to look like a Malfoy to stay with the Malfoy's.
I look at the clock and notice the time. I'm supposed to meet Draco in the common room in five minutes, so I hurry and close my trunk- struggling as I do so, and quickly make sure I have everything before leaving my dorm.
When I finally get to the common room, Draco is already waiting for me. As I approach him, I notice that he is holding an extra bag that's much smaller than his trunk.
"What's that?" I nod my head in the direction of the bag. He knows exactly what I'm talking about. "Oh, it's nothing love, now come on we don't want to be late." I'm hesitant to take that as an answer, but I decide to drop the subject for the moment and resume worrying about meeting Draco's parents.
Soon, we get to platform 9¾ where we long await for the train to arrive. On the train, I let my thoughts wonder; what if Draco's father doesn't like me... even worse, what if his mother doesn't like me? What if they don't want me there? Surely they wouldn't hurt me, would they?
I push the terrible thoughts out of my head, but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to shake the horrible feeling I've acquired in the pit of my stomach. Hurt, emptiness, anger, grief, and a smidge of hope- I can feel all these emotions, but they don't seem to be my own.
The next thing I know, the train stops and we arrive at our destination. Draco gets our things and motions me to follow him.
"Mother and father won't be here. They are sending a house elf to take us back to the manor where they will be waiting for us." Draco speaks in an almost unreadable tone, adopting the stone cold persona that he often thinks he needs.
The elf apperates our luggage first and then comes back for Draco and I. We arrive at the main entrance.
As we enter the foyer, I take in all of my surroundings. The floor is made out of fine stone, and tall columns run along each side of the hall. It's cold and dark, almost like the Slytherin dungeons; uninviting.
"Mother!" Draco shouts into the manor. I don't know how anyone would be able to hear him considering they live in such a large manor.
Contrary to my assumption, I soon hear hurried footsteps echoing on the stone floor. "Draco! I'm so happy to finally see you!" Narcissa practically squeezes Draco to death in a tight hug, ignoring my presence. "Mother, is this really necessary?" Draco complains, obviously embarrassed of his mothers actions.
"Nonsense. Now, are you going to introduce me to your friend?" Narcissa motions over to me with a sweet smile on her face. I smile back at her nervously, not sure whether or not to introduce myself.
"Mother, this is Ivy Draven," Draco says vaguely. Narcissa perks up even more. "Oh, the girl you always write me about!" Draco sends her a wide eyed look to which she just brushes off. Hearing this makes me want to tease Draco, but I stay quiet.
"It's so nice to meet you Mrs. Malfoy," I say with a smile as I reach out my hand. "I'm more of a hugger dear," she says as she hugs me almost as tight as she hugged Draco.
