THIRD PERSON POV

Betty and Veronica had been best friends since they were little. Veronica's brother Jughead was best friends with Betty's brother Chic. They had been close for many years, but as Veronica and Betty got older Betty started getting feelings for Jughead, and keeping that a secret from Veronica was getting harder and harder.

She wanted to tell her best friend but she couldn't forget the promise they made to each other when they were ten. They promised to never like the other ones brother so it would never have a chance at making their friendship awkward.

Betty always kept her promises but she couldn't get Jughead out of her head. He was killing her without even knowing it.

Tonight Veronica had invited Betty, Cheryl, and Toni over to her apartment. Betty and Veronica were 16 so they had sleepovers whenever they wanted, but getting a big one together was a little more work.

"Betty can you help me set up the living room?" Veronica asked from the living room.

Betty came out of Veronica's bedroom.

"Sure, what are we doing with all the sheets though?" Betty asked.

"I want to make a big comfy area to lay, and Jughead won't help so I need my girls help." Veronica said.

"Your 16, are sleepovers still a thing?" Jughead asked coming from the kitchen.

"Always." Veronica huffed.

"How are you doing Betty?" Jughead asked.

"Good." Betty said softly.

"How's gymnastics going?" Jughead asked.

"Okay I guess." Betty said.

Jughead knew she would barley talk to him. She used to never shut up but now all she does is say a couple words. It always made him wonder, but never did he truly think about it.

"Would you stop bothering Betty and go pack for your little sleepover with Chic?" Veronica asked.

"Chic is at a soccer game out of town." Betty said.

"Exactly, so I have no where to be tonight, meaning I might just crash your sleepover." Jughead smiled.

"No you are not. Your leaving." Veronica said.

"Where do you want me to go?" Jughead asked.

"Veronica he lives in this house, just let him stay. He isn't gonna cause a problem." Betty said softly.

Veronica gave Jughead a look before looking at Betty.

"Why do you always stand up for him?" Veronica asked.

"I don't know." Betty lied.

Jughead may have been clueless but Veronica wasn't. She knew Betty was falling for him. She didn't like the idea, but she also knew that it's hard to stop that feeling. So she thought she could play along with Betty's little game.

"Fine you can stay, but don't be yelling at your video games all night." Veronica said.

"We will see." Jughead smirked before going to his room.

Veronica and Betty finished setting up. Finally around 7pm Cheryl and Toni arrived.

"It looks so comfy in here V." Toni said giving her a hug.

"I thought maybe we could watch some movies and eat down here instead of the couch." Veronica suggested.

"I like the way your thinking." Cheryl said laying her bags down.
