"How could we
possibly hate you?"

Vien arrived in the mountains at sunset, and had a meeting with the leaders in the office. It was boring to rest so she roamed the grounds to get fresh air, but she saw a girl cadet running laps restlessly that she frowned a little and observed
                          
"Oi, she's new" One of the cadets seated in the cottage glanced at her
                          
The other soldiers traced his gaze and watched the girl doctor from afar. It was a few long moments of silence before they finally took their attention from her visage
                          
"She's so pretty, she reminds me of a deity" The girl gawked in shock
                          
"She looks young, she must be a cadet. But I've never seen her before" The young boy with barely any hair on his head spoke quietly
                          
A boy snapped them out of their dazes and chided, "Oi. Who cares if she's new? Did you forget that we're finally getting out of here?"
                          
"Eren's right Connie" A blonde haired boy said "We'll be stationed near the walls in a week and we'll be able to join the Survey Corps"
                          
Connie sighed, "Well I'm not really sure if I want to. My mother wants me to join the Military Brigade, but that's only if I make the top 10"
                          
"What about you Mina?" They asked the girl in long, black pigtails
                          
She frowned, "Well I'm not also sure about it. The Survey Corps would be overwhelming for me"
                          
Eren clenched his fists "I'm already sure with my decision. After years of enduring this hell I'd finally go and exterminate the beasts myself"

A Week Later
                          
It was dinner time, and Vien went inside the noisy cottage to eat her dinner alone. After all, her duty was to treat the soldiers who got injured after hard training. And there was little to no paperwork, so she had lots time to rest and sleep
                          
During dinner, she overheard some talking about her but it didn't matter that much. Despite the noisiness of the room, the only thing that took her attention was a yell coming from one of the cadets
                          
"You piece of garbage!"
                          
Vien darted her head at the racket and saw two soldiers manning up against each other. The other man started shooting back insults on the brown haired cadet. She quickly remembered their names from the papers shown to her by their commander, and recalled the soldier's name to be Eren Jaeger 
                          
A quiet, blonde haired boy stood up to break the fight, but both boys didn't listen. Vien also noticed that it was the same two men who'd end up fighting very often. The Eren and Jean who'd always resort to a verbal mess almost every day
                          
The skilled girl Vien recognized as Mikasa, approached them and pulled Eren away from him. And just as she thought the fight would end, the other man swooped Eren up with his feet and yelled to his face about being jealous for him
                          
Later, Jean was suddenly flipped onto the ground by Eren. And Vien thought that this was immediately her time to step in. Vien rushed to Jean and helped him up, although he stared at her for awhile but he was still driven to Eren by anger
                          
"Ouch, what the hell was that?" He yelled angrily, and rubbed his head
                          
The two were separated when the Commander showed up from nowhere. His presence ceased the whole room to silence, thus the two men retrieved to their seats. Vien quietly sat beside Jean and began to press an ice packet on his head
                          
"I thought I heard a loud thud, what was that?" Keith asked
                          
Mikasa rose her hand "It was just the sound of Sasha farting, Sir"
                          
The Commander spoke unfriendly words to Sasha, and left the room. Everyone burst out into laughter except this table, where the air was just scary cold. Vien noticed that the two were glaring at each other, so she flicked Eren's forehead and nudged Jean's shoulder "Hey, I get that you two aren't friends, but fighting won't solve any problems"
                          
Eren looked away angrily, "I'm sorry Dr. Vien, please don't tell Mr. Shadis to make me run laps again"
                          
"Me too" Jean hung his head low
                          
Vien only laughed at their flushed faces "Gosh, I've been doing this for more than a week now. It's a surprise you don't hate me yet"
                          
"Why would you think that Dr. Vien? You've done so much for us in the past week how could we possibly hate you?" Armin frowned
                          
"Everytime Mr. Shadis makes me run laps, you always get me out of it by talking to him" Sasha leaned her head on the doctor's shoulders
                          
"You watch over Eren for me when I'm not around" Mikasa muttered
                          
Eren rolled his eyes "Psh, the hand to hand combats you teach me on weekdays help me a lot in training"
                          
"Wait you do?" Jean exclaimed, glancing at Eren in an unfriendly way "That's absolutely not fair"
                          
"That's not the the point you damn idiot" Eren retorted angrily at him
                          
They kept joking around with each other to drive Eren and Jean away from arguing again. It was as if anything they talked about turned to an argument between them
                          
Vien chuckled "I've grown close with you guys for over a week. But since you're all graduating soon, we'll start going different ways"
                          
"Well that's not the case for me, I'm a hundred percent sure about enlisting in the scouts" Eren boasts
                          
"Oh yeah" Connie excitedly spoke, fortunately he was here to break the silence "I heard you were sent by the Survey Corps, what's it like?"
                          
Vien nodded, "It's really fun, and you get to see the titan that Squad Leader Hanji captured everyday"
                          
"Wow" Sasha's eyes sparkled "The Squad Leader Hanji? Isn't she a friend of Lance Corporal Levi?"
                          
Eren grinned "I know, once I get enough training at the Survey Corps I'll be as strong as that guy"
                          
"Tch, like that would ever happen" Jean muttered under his breath, resulting Vien to flick his forehead
                          
Jean winced in pain and glared sternly "If you'll keep doing that it'll eventually feel like nothing and you can't possibly discipline me"
                          
Vien smiled sarcastically "I think Mr. Shadis would have a solution-"
                          
"-NO" Jean immediately shushed her to cut the sentence off, causing their table to erupt in laughter

A week passed and everything went on smoothly for the rest of the cadets. 218 graduated, and fortunately all of Vien's friends made it. They were all transferred from the camp and stationed in a base near the village. Vien had a week before she'd be brought back to the Survey Corps headquarters
                          
"Doctor hurry!" Mina knocked on her door, jolting from the reading position she's been in for hours
                          
Vien fixed her hair, and opened the door. She faintly smiled at the cadet who had a visible frown
                          
"Morning Mina, what's going on?"
                          
"Eren and the others sneaked out!"
