"It's happening again." Kageyama winced in pain, placing a palm on his forehead.

Since his teen years had begun he had been burdened with precognition, more specifically seeing his own death before it happens. Usually, this involves another person so he feels inclined to postpone the inevitable.

His family had all experienced similar scenarios throughout their teenage years, so you could call it a family curse. Kageyama's mother saw it as a 'blessing' she got to help people and meet her lover in the process. However, Kageyama thought it was a nuisance. If it wasn't for the fact that other people were involved he may have failed to prevent an early death.

Not that he wanted to die, but he could be a klutz sometimes. Less so when he was aware that other people were involved.

In this particular vision a red headed boy stood at a crossing, clearly not being attentive to his surroundings. The lights were still red, but nonetheless the boy crossed. Kageyama had tried to prevent the boy from crossing halfway across the road before a speeding car slammed into them. That was the end of the vision.

As he walked down the path he scanned his surroundings looking for a ginger boy. Eventually his eyes honed in on the familiar figure. Immediately he noticed the lights were amber, if they turned red it was over.

He scuttled forwards through the crowd and just as the lights turned red he grabbed the boy by the back of his shirt. Kageyama had arrived just in the nick of time as the boy had already set foot on the road.

"Were you really just about to do that?" The startled boy looked up at him, eyes wide. His reaction only made Kageyama more annoyed.

"I mean, how dense are you? Walking into a moving vehicle would kill you Idiot!" Kageyama made sure to escort the boy across the road, just incase another accident were to occur.

Of course, he was correct. With a flash a red van dashed forwards beeping it's horn whilst swerving to avoid the pair.

Kageyama pushed the boy aside practically leaping onto the pavement, his palms grazed as he hit the ground.

"What is with people?" He scoffed nocking his shoes against the curb to shake off any dirt. The ginger was perched beside him allowing the pouring rain to drench his clothing.

His face seemed so tired. He looked almost fed up. Kageyama knew he wasn't the best with emotions, but either way he wasn't about to just leave him on the path in this torrential weather.

He huffed and rummaged through his bag, pulling out a dark blue umbrella. Once he opened it up, he hovered it over the latters head who looked up at him slightly dishevelled.

In return, the ginger pushed the umbrella away slightly so that it covered the both of them. It remained silent for a moment as the two shivered in the downpour.

"So what's your name?" Kageyama finally settled on asking. The key to a conversation is getting aquatinted, that was his fathers advice anyway.

"Um Shoyo Hinata." He spoke solemnly.

"Tobio Kageyama." The latter said in return. Hinata only nodded once to signify he was in fact listening.

It was painfully obvious that something was troubling Hinata. Kageyama felt a slight responsibility to cater to this strangers needs, although he wasn't exactly fluent in the language of emotion.

"What's up with you?" Kageyama cringed at his assertive tone, there was definitely a better way he could've worded that. Although the other didn't seem too bothered.

Hinata shrugged before bringing his knees closer to his chest.

"Bad day." He sighed.

Hinata didn't have a ton of bad days, but when he did they were definitely the worst. This morning he had woken up almost two hours late for school, which meant he missed volleyball practice. Not that it mattered seeing as he was the only club member in his middle school.
