Chapter 32: Moving On

                                    

                                          
After everyone in the crowd cheered "Happy New Year," Kwan and Luke looked for Alana to wish her the same but was nowhere to be found. They went to Yoongi, who was still on the balcony, and asked him where Alana was.
                          
"I don't know where she went," Yoongi said.
                          
"Your eyes look red and a little puffy, are you ok?" Kwan asked him.
                          
"Alana and I broke up."
                          
	Luke gasped.
                          
"Oh no, I am so sorry. Are you ok?" Luke asked, concerned.
                          
"I'm fine. But I think Alana needs your support right now."
                          
"C'mon Luke, I think she's in the hotel room," Kwan said.
                          
	Kwan and Luke left Yoongi after quickly wishing him a happy new year. Kwan spotted Hoseok at the bar with the other BTS members and tugged on his shirt to get his attention.
                          
"Yoongi and Alana broke up. We're going to find Alana but please make sure Yoongi is ok. He's out on the balcony."
                          
	Hoseok nodded and told the other members what happened. They all wanted to comfort him but decided that it was best if only Namjoon and Hoseok went so they wouldn't crowd him during his sorrow.
                          
	Meanwhile, Alana had gone up to the hotel room and changed into her pajamas as she was relaxing from having cried on the way up. She set up the sofa bed for herself and sat on it to watch some YouTube videos to take her mind off what happened. Kwan and Luke entered the room shortly after. Luke sat on one of the chairs in the room while Kwan sat on the edge of the bed.
                          
"We heard about your breakup with Yoongi, are you ok?" Luke asked.
                          
"Yeah, I'm fine. It was kind of mutual."
                          
"What happened?" Kwan said.
                          
"We realized that our relationship was mostly a work relationship and that he is not as emotionally available as I want him to be so we agreed it was better to just end things and keep it professional with one another."
                          
	On the balcony, the members had asked Yoongi the same question.
                          
"The break up was one sided. She told me that I am not emotionally available for her and thought it was best for us to just stay professional. I acknowledged that I was not very affectionate with her and she forgave me, but it ended and it hurts."
                          
"I know how much Alana means to you hyung," Namjoon stated, "and the fact that things ended how they did just makes it that much harder on you."
                          
"Is there anything we can do to make you feel better?" Hoseok asked.
                          
"Can we go home? I've stayed beyond my party limit."
                          
"Sure, let me go tell everyone that we're leaving. I think Taehyung is sober enough to drive the van home," Namjoon said.
                          
	Back in the hotel room, Luke had excused himself for the night knowing that Alana was handling the break up relatively well and took an Uber back to his apartment while Kwan kept her company and changed into his pajamas too. Then, he sat and told Alana about how in love he was with Luke and that their New Year's kiss was very romantic and amazing (given that it was the first time they kissed each other). He also shared that he was so happy they got to go on an actual date without having to worry about the contract, fans, paparazzi, Nari, or Mr. Bang. Alana listened attentively without saying a word.
                          
"I'm sorry Alana. You just went through a break up and here I am talking about my semi-romantic friendship with Luke," he said.
                          
"It's cool, gets my mind off of what happened. I am very happy it's going well for you guys," she replied with a smile.
