Tanjiro's P.O.V








                          
"Lady Tamayo!"
the demon boy yushiro called out to- lady tamayo- in a relieved voice. But then he noticed nezuko carrying her. He snarled. "Get your dirty hands off-  "Calm down, yushiro. Nezuko and tanjiro are only here to help."
                          
He stiffly nodded at them. Lady Tamayo, who was now fully healed, gently got out of nezuko's arms and how're to thank her. "Thank you Tanjiro-san and nezuko-san," she said respectfully. "It's no problem, miss tamayo!" Nezuko and tanjiro waved at them as they left. Tanjiro, however, couldn't help but have a sinking feeling that he had just done something wrong.
                          
A minute later, Tanjiro felt something was off. And then he realized, Tomioka was missing! Where could he be?! Tanjiro wondered as he started sprinting, sniffing the air, and finally picking up Tomioka and akaza's scent in the same room. There was also the scent of Tomioka's blood coming from there. He and nezuko hurried over..hopefully, they weren't too late... The door burst open just as akaza slashed Tomioka's stomach, luckily not too deep. Tanjiro stood there, and akaza, nor Tomioka, noticed him and nezuko. Nezuko whimpered. He's hurting Tomioka... And then Tanjiro fainted. Or so he thought.
                          
His eyes fluttered open, but he was still standing, just in a different place. He looked around him. He was now at the place that akaza used to be standing, akaza's disintegrating corpse at his feet, his head sliced up so he couldn't speak. Tomioka stared at him.
                          
Tanjiro smiled. "I hope your not too hurt, Tomioka! We need to go, it really is dangerous here...perhaps we could wait outside, it's still night." Tomioka nodded, still looking too stunned to say much else, he sheathes his sword, Wich Tanjiro had given him before he had left him alone in the other room and left to find muzan, and they were off. Tanjiro opened a door and they were let outside into the fresh night air. They sat against a tree, tanjiro's head on Tomioka's shoulder. Nezuko started tearing some of her kimono off to wrap Tomioka's wounds, but Tanjiro gasped. 
                          
"No nezuko! That's your favorite kimono! I'll do it!" Nezuko nodded and tanjiro let a sigh out in relief. He started tearing the ends of his kimono off and wrapped it around the wounds on Tomioka's stomach, forehead, and arms.
                          
Then they sat down, and nezuko's head was in tanjiro's lap and tanjiro was once again leaning his head on Tomioka's shoulder. Tomioka put a bandaged arm around him. All of them were anxious. Tanjiro didn't know what would happen to the dear humans if the demons won. Nezuko was thinking the same. Tomioka was thinking about how to protect Tanjiro if the humans won. One by one, the upperoons started to die out. After Douma and akaza, it was kaigaku, (defeated by zenitsu, Wich made Tanjiro smile slightly like a proud mother) Douma, (inosuke and kanao-san held him off so Shinobu's wisteria poison could get into effect)
                          
Nakime, (killed by kanroji and iguro) and finally, most surprisingly, kokushibo (killed by tokito, sanemi, and gyomei.) A door of the infinity fortress opened and, to everyone's surprise, rengoku walked out. He looked worried. "Has anyone seen akaza?" "Ah...sorry rengoku-san, he was killed by a slayer..." Tanjiro felt guilty for killing akaza selfishly. He didn't even know how he managed to kill him, without a nichirin sword and just his nails. He could smell the sadness flowing through rengoku-san and the years in his eyes as he sat down next to Tomioka and leaned on him. Tanjiro's heart bloomed, he loved seeing this kind of friendship between people, especially if it was Tomioka.
                          
They sat in silence for a few more moments, Tanjiro not paying attention to scents, Wich was a huge mistake. A few seconds later. A boom resonated throughout the night sky as the ground below then exploded and out came the surviving hashira and slayers: muichirou tokitou, gyomei himejima, sanemi shinazugawa, Genya shinazugawa, mitsuri kanroji, obanai iguro, zenitsu agatsuma, and inosuke hashibira, along with muzan. But he smelled different.
