TW: ABUSE

I lay in my bead, flat on my back, completely worn out.

I had just awoken from another horrid dream. Since the summer began they have only grown worse and worse.

Sometimes they were the same nightmares, and other times...it was just terrible.

There were many dreams about my grave stone, a gigantic snake, some about Voldemort and a cemetery, some about Harry, then there were some nights where I would dream about that mysterious voice in the woods.

All of the dreams ended the same, with my mind being torn apart bit by bit. It felt like someone was trying to break into my head. I couldn't possibly understand why.

These dreams were not only difficult on me but apparently on my parents as well. My screams or yells would wake them up at exhaustingly early times.

This never ended well for me. My parents had only grown to hate me more since I left for Hogwarts.

The had confiscated all magical items, books, and even my mothers ring. The one thing I managed to keep hidden was the locked book from the restricted section.

I kept this book hidden in a small compartment underneath one of the loose floorboards under my bed. I started a journal of my dreams to try and connect everything, or just remember it before it slipped away.

I stood up slowly and stepped over to the large window. There was a singular lilac curtain draped over it. I moved it over and looked outside. It was still dark out. There was nothing special going on, My house looked identical to the rest on the street.

Each street lined with big houses and perfectly planted trees. I've always wondered if inside those houses, it wasn't all perfect like mine. Zeus remained perched in his cage, fidgety and agitated.

I turned back around and took a seat in the chair at my small desk and immediately put my head in my hands. I squeezed my eyes shut as hard as possible.

Voldemort was looking for something, someone. I could feel it. There was another man here, in the dark room, one I couldn't recognise.

I stood in the corner of this room and watched.

In front of me there was a dusty, velvet chair. I couldn't see who was in this chair but I could only assume it was Voldemort. Wormtail was here as well, talking to the chair. It was odd because I couldn't make out what they were saying and they were standing right in front of me. It all sounded distant.

I knew this dream was about to come to an end when a large snake slithered from behind the door, pushing it opened. The snake always stopped at my feet and just gazed up to me.

Moments later there would be a harsh whisper, urging for Wormtail to open the door. There would be an old man standing there staring at what he was seeing in shock. This is where I usually lose control of myself, much to my dismay. Every time I had this dream or vision, I would raise my arm with my wand gripped tight.

I didn't want to do this. I wanted to wake up. I wanted to put my arm back down. I didn't want to kill the man. But each time I did. Over and over and over again. I would wake up finally when a bright green light shoots from my wand , blinding us all.
