You blew on your hands while rubbing them together. The air coming from your mouth was noticeable due to the cold temperature around. It was winter. Although you were wearing thick clothing to warm up, it was still not enough as the cold air still manages to penetrate through the clothing.
On the way to school you saw the person you like, Diluc Ragnvindr by the vending machines to buy a can of a hot drink. You didn't realize that you stopped on your tracks and just stared at him when Diluc's gaze landed on yours. His gaze pierced right through you and you feel a warm feeling bubbling inside of you. That warm feeling feels like it was melting you from the embarrassment that you quickly darted away.
The cold feeling you were struggling to deal with earlier, was then replaced with this fuzzy feeling you get every time you see Diluc.
"(Y/n) (Y/n)!"
Lumine and Aether called towards your direction when you arrived by the gates of the school. Wide smiles were plastered on their faces as they ran to greet you. Aether placed his hands on your cheeks which made you sink down on your scarf due to how warm his hands were. Lumine on the other hand, placed a warm towel on top of you as well as handed you a steaming meat bun.
"We figured you wanted one as we bought them" Lumine grinned as the twins linked their arms with you. "We also saw your crush earlier!"
The scenario from earlier made your cheeks flush into a red color so you quickly hid your face by taking a bite on the snow colored bun you were holding. When you bit off a piece, the steaming meat emerged and the piece that was inside of your mouth did burnt your tongue a little bit. It made Aether and Lumine shocked at how large the bite was that they quickly pulled their water bottles from their bags and handed them to you.
After the minor accident, the three of you then walked to the classrooms together.
The first half of classes passed by in a blur as you didn't remember what had happened to the most of it though it's because that your mind was blank all throughout this day. But luckily it is almost ending soon, you just had to make it through the second half of classes. A ring was heard throughout the school which was the signal for break time. Your two friends held out their matching lunch boxes while you brought out your own.
"Kaeya told the three of us to sit by them during lunch. Do you want to come?"
You bit your lower lip in thought, you never were the social type as you easily get flustered. You'd rather eat in peace in the classroom. An apologetic expression rose on your face as you wrapped your lunch box with your hands as you leaned on your desk. "I'm sorry guys but I have to pass-"
The twins looked at each other devilishly when they suddenly snatched your lunchbox away. You looked at both with shock in your eyes when you reached out to try and snatch it back but the twins suddenly darted outside of the classroom. It was like you forgot that there are other people on the hallways as you chase after the two siblings downstairs and towards the cafeteria.
