— swiftly, he stuck his tongue out, grazing it lightly against the tips of his pointer finger and thumb . he looked into the mirror and straightened his eyebrows out. he licked his lips, dampening the dry skin, and then tightened his tie. he grinned at his reflection, finally satisfied just as the door of his bathroom begin to rattle.
                          
"coming kenz!" he called out, hurriedly slamming drawers shut and puffing his favourite perfume  onto his neck and hands. he straightened his shirt and pulled the door open, revealing kenzie.
                          
she wore red silk dress that hugged her curves magnificently. her hair was down, curling without a flaw and sat gorgeously on her shoulders. she ran her     fingers through her hair, reducing the emphasis of her curls. her eyelashes were curled upwards and her cheeks were tinted a light pink. she wore a glittering lip gloss that matched the frizzles of her dress perfectly.
                          
"damn kenz," he whistled,"you look..."
                          
before he could finish his sentence, she leans forward and snatched his hand. she sent him a thankful glance, not wanting to ignore the compliment he had just given her but not wanting to waste any time to get to school.
                          
"maddie's waiting for us," kenzie said, turning her head for a split second,"she's our chauffeur for the night,"
                          
"i always knew maddie would be the one to send the three of us to prom," johnny sighed filled with content.
                          
"i always knew i'd go to prom with you but look at that," she mumbled under her breath as they approached the flight of stairs that descended to the first floor. johnny snorted, as he halted their movements.
                          
"john, why'd you stop us? we are already late," she whined,"hurr-,"
                          
he cut her off by snaking his hand around her waist, gently tilting her body diagonally. he leant forwards and captured her lips in his own, not leaving anything time for her to register these ongoing events.  she pushed him away, rolling her eyes playfully at his gesture.
                          
"you happy now kenz?" he asked.
                          
"you haven't asked me yet," she said pouting.
                          
"kenz, wanna go to prom with me?" he asked with his famous grin.
                          
"sure," she said smiling widely.
                          
"thank god," he breathed out as she resumed their path to the door.
                          
"what?" she asked innocently.
                          
"give me a break women," he laughed,"i only asked you to be my girlfriend yesterday,"
                          
"no one stopped you to ask the day before," she hummed,"or the week before, or the month, or the year or the day we me-,"
                          
"i get the point," he cut her off and she giggled, slowing their pace when they heard the flashing of cameras.
                          
she released his arm, when they heard muffled chattering of their parents and siblings coming from behind the closed door. she pulled it open and couldn't help but smile.
                          
"kenzie!" lauren squeaked, letting go off her mums hand to give kenzie a tight squeeze. kenzie walked into her arms voluntarily, pressing the side of her cheek against lauren's.
                          
"you look awesome," both girls said at the same time, clutching each other's waist. they burst into a fit of laughter.
                          
"go get noah," kenzie grinned, banging her shoukder against lauren's.
